Rated 5 out of 5 by Harborview Excellent Raincoat!!!
I love this rain jacket so much that I also purchased one for my mom and one for my sister! The design is exceptional. The fleece keeps you warm on cold rainy days and the hood is perfect. This jacket easily earned its five stars here in NMI!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Avalie Worst Zipper Ever
Every time I zip this coat up, it gets caught in the zipper. It won't zip up or down. I have been held captive in this coat several times. Too bad LL Bean has chosen to put these frustrating zippers in their coats. I like the products but won't buy again because the last several coats I have purchased has this type of zipper.

I am so disappointed in this coat. Tight in the shoulders and loose around the body. Sleeves are impossible when you have a long sleeve shirt on. Rolls the shirt sleeves halfway up your arms because the lining is so bulky. Wish I hadn't worn this coat because I would return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BeanShopperChicagoMom I Think I Am Going to Love This Jacket
I got this coat for rainy and 40 degree tball games and for dog walking. I never expected it to be flattering or stylish. It's not bad on that front. It has some shape, so I am pleasantly surprised with the fit. I don't think the fleece sleeves will be bothersome either. I am really happy the sleeves are lined with fleece. Indeed, I bought this to replace a rain jacket that had unlined sleeves. I just wore it in a downpour and stayed super dry and warm in 45 degrees.
One caveat - this jacket will not keep you warm in below freezing temps. Wear it when it's rainy, raw and damp in the 30s through 50s.

Rated 2 out of 5 by bschenen Great idea, but problems
This could be a GREAT raincoat... styling and cut are really nice. Fit too. But the impossible, constantly bunching lining ruins everything. Just not wearable. Which is a real shame as Bean's long H2Off coat with liner does not have any warmth in the sleeves so I was hoping this would work out. Bean, I hope you can redo this with that modification.. a lining that offers some warmth, especially in the sleeves, and doesn't cling to your clothing. And as long as you are taking care of the lining, how about making the raincoat itself out of a material that isn't so noisy and doesn't constantly crinkle? Something sleek like the original H2Off? But the idea... the concept.. GREAT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by OneLuckyOne staying dry during rainy day dog walks!
I got this jacket for walking my dog in the park in the rain. I gave it a test the first rainy day that we had - and it was POURING rain! My dog got soaked (he didn't mind) and I stayed dry. The jacket worked exactly as advertised. I stayed dry even after walking for 45 min in the pouring rain. My only problem was that my legs were soaked where the coat ended, and I'll be buying the matching rain pants next. I was glad to have a towel handy to dry off before getting in the car.
I bought this jacket for function, and don't plan to use it for daily use. It is not stylish - straight seams, straight sleeves. if you're looking for a stylish everyday raincoat that is also waterproof, this might not be a good choice. But if you want to stay dry during outdoor activities, this jacket is perfect. The velcro closures on top of the zipper are great. The velcro adjustments on the sleeves allowed me to put gloves on and then put the jacket over them.
As others have noted, it's a bit difficult to get on with the fleece-lined sleeves, but no worse than putting on a fleece jacket over a flannel shirt. Again - this jacket is built for function, not necessarily a jacket to wear to work everyday. When I"m suiting up to take the dog for a walk in the rain, I don't mind the extra few minutes that it takes to get this jacket on and my sleeves not bunched up underneath. But I think that I would find it annoying if I had to do this multiple times per day.
I'm not certain about the cold rating (-20°). On the days that I worn this jacket, the temps were in the 30's and 40's). It was fine, though I got the sense that I would be cold if the temperature was much lower.
I love this jacket so much that I just bought an unlined version for the summer. I'll also be ordering the pants so that my legs don't get wet.
Now I'm wishing for a Tek2.5 rain jacket for my dog - how 'bout it LLBean?

I love this coat. True, the zipper is a little hard to work and the fleece-lined sleeves are a little hard to get on; but once I'm in it, I'm very snug and dry. The fit is nice, possibly a bit large except in the bust The small regular worked well even though I alternate between a small and medium petite depending on the stretch of the fabric. I have worn it frequently during the past week to work, for dog walks, for some yard work . . I just love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by NWAlley A great raincoat
I love this cozy raincoat and the bright color (French blue). It's perfect for typical rainy Seattle weather, and keeps me surprisingly warm with just a light top underneath (wouldn't work well with heavy sweaters and in really cold weather anyway#. The fleece is comfortable enough to use even over workout attire and bare arms to get me to the gym in the rain. I particularly appreciate the generous hood and visor because of my big head #not all LLBean jackets work for me for that reason). Nice sleek look, true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AmyK8 Love this coat
I ordered this coat last year and absolutely love it. I wear it to walk to work and to the dog beach. I stay warm and dry in Vancouver, BC winters with the fleece lining and don't have to wear bulky layers. I bought the French Blue and get compliments every time I wear it. After a year, it still looks brand new and I wear it a lot. Long enough to keep my legs warm and dry after being at the dog beach for more than an hour in the rain. Can wear with my law firm attire or dog beach attire and still look appropriate and be warm and dry. I can not say enough good things about this coat. Very easy to get on and off with the fleece lining. If I wear short sleeves, my arms are cozy thanks to the fleece lining.

Rated 1 out of 5 by msm3 Lining too loose - creates problems.
At first I liked this coat as it looked nice. But after wearing it for couple weeks have come to hate it.
The lining is too loose which creates 2 problems. First, when slip arm in sleeve the lining bunches up in places, this is really annoying if have on a long sleeved shirt or sweater. Secondly, the loose lining is CONSTANTLY getting caught in zipper. It has gotten so bad that now I hesitate to even use the zipper.
