So nice to have a petite jacket that fits well and is comfortably soft, flexible and warm! Also, sharp looking for when I am not shoveling snow!
Have just checked LLBean jacket pictures and the scratchy black "Bellandi" label pictures below are no longer sewn in most necks. It was quite a challenge to cut out without leaving 4 holes in my new jacket! Very nearly returned the jacket, since I couldn't stand to wear it! All is well now!

I purchased the navy boiled wool jacket and just love it. It looks good with jeans or dressier slacks. The collar can be worn up or down for different loooks. The fit is flattering, the hand-warmer pockets are deep and well-placed, and the boiled wool is soft and and has some stretch or give to it. Because of the giving nature of the fabric, I recommend getting a size smaller than usual... You'll have a trimmer fit and still be able to reach and move freely. I like the length of this jacket for casual wear, but would love to have this very same cut in a 3/4 length coat, too. ..And how about a nice red one?

I usually get itchy as soon as the word 'wool' is mentioned around me, so I was hesitant to make this purchase. But, I am in serious love with this jacket! The style and cut of the jacket is what appeals to me and I love the side entry for the pockets. I am a knitter and have a ton of cowls that I can wear under the stand up collar so the wool won't be an issue against my skin. I'm looking forward to a few more cool days before the spring time weather comes around and makes me wait until the fall to really enjoy this jacket. I purchased in gray to mix\match with all the different color scarves, hats and gloves I have. Love it!

I bought this coat in grey. The fit is perfect and I love the style. It is full enough to wear a thin sweater under but probably not a heavy sweater. This is perhaps my favorite coat ever! I wish it came in brown because I would purchase another one.

LLBean normally impresses me and this jacket is no exception. I was so pleased to have the side entry as well as front entry pockets. Really looks nice on. Beautiful shade of green and boiled wool is soft - not stiff at all. It was at a great sale price when I purschased it. I should have gotten other colors, too. I expect and love the quality products and the great customer service.

Unlined I found this jacket itchy. The color 'dark green' is nice and jacket has a polished look but for this nice of a jacket (and it wasn't cheap)I would expect a LINING!! And don't put the collar up without a scarf...will itch you to death....at least that's my problem. I haven't worn this enough to know if pilling will be a problem in the future.

Just received this jacket in the beautiful blue color - I'm 5'8 and generally wear a LG/XL, or a size 16. I ordered the XL and am debating whether or not to keep it. It fits well in length and sleeve length but is almost too big overall. I may send it back and order the large. It is very well made, the color is beautiful - I would love to see this jacket made with a liner. This will not be warm enough for our coldest days in Minnesota. It will be great to wear as a dressy jacket, or even with jeans - love, love, love it!

1st off I needed a replacement for an LL Bean boiled wool jacket from many years ago....that one was like the Austria style jacket..It was warmer but also more itchy......this one is way more comfortable, less itchy, longer, plus it has a stand up or down
collar which is great for the cold, windy days, and more of a feminine style....so I love it.
It is not as warm as the old boiled wool. But for me I will get to use it way more often...I bought the black....honestly, you can wear it with jeans, dress slacks, skirt...or anything in between. Fancy dressy scarf or a warm wool scarf depending on the weather and occasion!
I love it.....I got an XL and I am 5 ft. 5 inches and weigh 165 lbs. It fits perfect.....
So glad I invested in this coat...

I love this purchase. The coat is both comfortable, with room and stretch to move, while also having a structured look that many coats lack. It is a nice midweight warmth, great for cool midwestern winter days, but probably not ideal for gusty weather or long days outdoors in the winter. The color (cobalt) is BEAUTIFUL and vibrant. I've gotten many compliments on it.

As a child I was raised in wool. Wool undershirts, wool sweaters, wool skirts, wool pants from late fall until the snow was gone. This jacket is so versatile. You can rake leaves, walk the dog, go grocery shopping, go to work, walking, whatever.... It is warm too and light rain just beads off of it so if you get caught in the rain, you're fine. I bought it in black and I will buy it in grey too. This jacket is SO useful, practical, classy, stylish. It looks both traditional and hip. Wear it with sneakers, boots, shoes...whatever-it really does go with everything. I say BUY and you will have it for years. I know as this jacket gets older and even if it balls I will still love it.
