I wrote that I found this jacket itchy and was going to keep it..I received some `static` over my comments...as I did decide to keep the jacket. I have worn this jacket with tan/khaki pants,in a very soft, fine cotton,also from L.L.Bean and a reddish turtle neck underneath,and the `look`was amazing....I also have worn the jacket with jeans and black pants..I received some great admiring looks which is always a nice feeling..Yes,it does itch a bit,but the positives`or pluses outweigh that totally....I hope now I have redeemed myself as this is a terribly smart,good-looking jacket,with a quality look to it most certainly...It adds a bit of dressiness to one`s outfit whether it be jeans or black slacks..I am happy with my choice to keep and wear the jacket..Thank you L.L.Bean...I kept the jacket because I liked the look,style and it is a new addition to my wardrobe as well...

The fit is good.. size medium for my petite frame and I have a bit of a bustline..
The fabric is certainly sturdy but when I put the jacket on there is a definite scratchiness to the material and it itches a great deal... I guess I shall keep it but really I am disappointed.. The lining of the jacket was very wrinkled when it arrived .....I just do not care for itchy clothing at all.
This jacket does not really make a statement or have "that look!"

I think that this jacket looks a little better in the photograph than in person.I purchased the multi colored jacket. It arrived quickly but extremely wrinkled. The colors are somewhat darker than pictured. It runs true to size. I usually take an 8 but, depending on manufacturers I will fit into either a small or medium. I ordered the small and it fits perfectly. The arms are however a little too long. Not a deal breaker for me but they do not fall at the wrist as shown on the model. This is a jacket that wears more like a sweater. It's thin and definitely looks better buttoned. It is very comfortable and I enjoy it very much.

A couple of years ago I bought two Gakway Herringbones in Rose and Chocolate. So glad they are on sale again. You cannot beat this price! I wear the Chocolate all the time, often as an outdoor jacket. Yep, it's boxy. Yep the sleeves may be too long. My arms are 2" longer than most, so the longer sleeves suit me just fine. The Rose sleeves are a little short for me, so I don't wear it as much. I guess that means it will last longer! Although after two winters, the Chocolate shows no wear.
Thanks for the excellent quality workmanship and materials L.L.Bean. I look forward to adding the Loden Green to my closet.

Bought it in Loden and I wish I had bought another in a different color, actually two more........I am 5' 5' 1/2', about 125 lbs and short waisted - most misses blazers are too long for me in the torso but this jacket fit great and goes with several different colored pairs of dress slacks, it 's dressy enough for work and meeting clients.........and it looks good paired with jeans and corduroy pants, .........my bad I discovered it too late to buy more than 1! The medium was a good fit.........I hope LL Bean brings this jacket back to its line.

This jacket is a very pleasing fit. I was concerned that it would be short by a bit but it was prefect for me. I am 5'4'' and the jacket fell at a nice place on my hip and covered areas I most wanted covered. Its a charming jacket in the green its soft and easy on the eye. Easy to dress up and or dress down with jeans. Its warm and comfortable as well. I have to say I was lucky the fit was perfect for me. Enjoy this jacket it will be well loved and often worn. I liked the green so much I ordered the Navy blue and the brown as well.

I snap cayenne herringbone on further reduced sale. The only size (close to mine) left was petite S and I'm regular XS/4 in LL Bean (I'm 5'6" skinny, athletic build with wide shoulders, 34B). Of course I was worried that the length could be short on me - the jacket fits me almost perfectly in shoulders, sleeves length is ideal and body ends at my hips - what a pleasant surprise. Its roomier than I need in waist and bust areas - I simply moved the buttons for a 1/2", so now its not so sloppy around waist. I'm in love with the fabric - soft, not itchy blend of wool, lightweight and warm. Its so versatile - looks great with the T and pair of jeans or dressy pants and oxford shirt. Its very comfortable and no wrinkles or sagging at the end of day. The color is rich and better in live than on picture. Thanks LL Bean for this addition to my wardrobe. The only improvement could be done - to make it washable.

Love, love, love this cropped jacket for adding a little sophistication to everyday clothes. Easily can be dressed up or down- very preppy if you decide to add some elbow patches and change out the buttons with leather buttons. Nice fabric and color selection. I was lucky enough to grab 4 of them on sale- they flew off the website in the good sizes (womens S and M). Could not be happier with my purchases. Thank you LLB for these sweet little jackets that will get lots of use!

I was concerned about sizing after reading reviews, but I ordered a Medium after measuring and find that it fits perfectly. Even though I wear a size 8, I generally order a size 10 in jackets as I have long arms.......I am 5'8". The arms are perfect. This jacket is really made to wear buttoned up and it looks great that way. Open, it
looks okay, but not as fitted because the bust area looks loose.
The fabric is very nice and the cut is flattering to my long-waisted figure.

Purchased in medium, returned for small - fit everywhere, but just too short...I really, really loved this jacket, but had to return it because it wasn't long enough in the body...the sleeves were a perfect length. Another 3-4 inches in the body length, and I would have purchased one in several colors. Very well made, though.
