These slacks are just terrific. I got the last of the available colors, olive and stone in size 10; now everything is out of stock! No wonder because they fit just beautifully; haven't yet washed them but I've ordered other Bayside Twill slacks for "fuller figures" and they are just terrific, too, and wash so well, that these should be the same. I just love these L. L. Bean slacks in this category. Please, please restock them. By the way, the olive green is really a nice color. And, I live in Florida, yet these slacks could probably be worn in all months except maybe the hottest ones. So comfortable.

I have been looking for brown pants, so I was really hoping these would work, but they did not. I am 5' tall and 125 pounds and the size 6 petite fit pretty well. However, the pockets gaped so much you could see the lining. I saw another review with the same complaint and it is true, making the pants rather unattractive. Also the legs on these pants are terribly wide, like stove pipes. Again very unattractive.

These pants are very baggy around the hips and thighs. I don't like that style at all and will return them. (They are comfortable though.)

What is up with Bean's sizing? I have 2 pairs of the bayside twills, ordered years ago and love them. The pants are great, comfortable, and wash well. I've tried several times to order more. But the sizing has gotten intolerable. I order the same size I've always ordered, but now the hips are 2 sizes larger than the waist. Unfortunately I have found this to be true of many of Bean's pants. I also love the comfy knit corduroys. Tried to order more colors, but again, the hips are MUCH larger than the waist. Bean, what is wrong with your sizing!!

Foxtrot2 Needs tweaking, then would be perfect
The Plain Front Hidden Comfort Waist Bayside Twills accomplish almost everything I want: they are very comfortable, and the elastic hidden in the sides keeps the fit looking sharp, tailored and flattering . . . as long as I wear tunic-length tops that cover the pockets. The current design, which easily could be corrected, allows the pocket facing to show much of the time. Unfortunately, this is eye-catching and not at all flattering.
If LLBean would change the design so that the twill fabric leading into the pocket were a larger piece, the hidden elastic would remain a secret and these would become AMAZING pants for comfort and appearance, even with shirts tucked in.
Please note that the pockets should remain deep (or deeper). Shallow pockets always are a frustration.

The look is very neat and the comfort waist was exactly what I wanted. You don't see an elastic bulk at the back but it's kept hidden under a very neat waistband. I can foresee getting another color. Perfect for my casual but neat needs at work.

I have a size 30 inch waist and made sure to check the sizing chart as I had to send back 2 pair of pants last year to get a smaller size. I ordered the size 10 as it has a 29.5 inch waist. The pants arrived and were LARGE. I measured the waist with the waist buttoned shut at 32.5 inches, or on their chart a size 14!!
Please update the sizing chart to reflect the size of the actual pants.

At last a size 16 that has a slimming appearance! I really like the hidden comfort waist and favorite fit combination. The fabric is soft and you can wear these right out of the dryer. I would say am more curvy than straight in the hip area but this straight leg fit is a winner!

I may have bought a size too small and should have read reviews carefully before deciding to purchase. I exchanged for another pant style, because I wasn't sure of the consequences of buying the next larger size, since the legs fit beautifully.
