Rated 5 out of 5 by Countrydogwalker Comfortable Pants
This style is great for the curvy figure because the waist fits a smaller waist and they are loose enough in the hips. I'm not a big fan of pleats unless they are stitched down but I ordered these slacks because curvy styles were discontinued and now I'm disappointed that this style is also discontinued. I noticed you now have pleated with the elastic waist. I tried those on in the store and they look terrible. Now that looser pants are coming back in style I don't understand why you discontinued these and the curvy and the wide leg jeans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Divingwright Please keep the Original Fit Bayside Twill Pleated
I have been buying these pants for years. Practically the only pants I wear anymore. Discontinuing these and switching to a comfort waist will keep me from buying them anymore. Having to go through another discontinuation of an older item is really a big pain. Please bring these pants back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by sheltiemom Really miss when fabric was a blend!
Really, really love these pants. But very much miss when the fabric was a blend, 50% cotton & 50% polyester. The fabric was so soft, with a silky feel. I still have several old pairs that I can't bear to part with. I also feel they were more comfortable to wear, and cooler in the hot weather. Please bring back the original pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by assistant Pleated Original Bayside Twills - Please KEEP!!
I tried to order more of the Original Fit Pleated Bayside Twill pants for work yesterday and found out that they have been discontinued - AGAIN!!! They were brought back by popular demand and now we have to lose them again? I ordered as many as I could before they run out but I am very, very unhappy that LL Bean's marketing department is doing this. No one wants to wear an elastic waist pant. I am in my 50's and love these stylish pants. What are you thinking? Please reconsider your business plan and think of us; the customer...I have been a customer for over 20 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Golani The ONLY slacks for work
I've been buying and wearing the original fit, pleat-front, regular waist Bayside Twill for over a decade, and they always fit very nicely. I especially appreciate the medium tall option -- most companies ignore us 5'8 types. The fabric and styling are polished and tailored enough that I can wear these to all but the most formal work situations.
So now my weight has ratchetted up a notch and I must buy a larger size of these pants, and LL Bean is making life needlessly hard! They've bummed me out by discontinuing this style before, but eventually customer demand prevailed. The pleated comfort waist pant is a tolerable option, but I really hope they listen to us middle-aged women again -- there is no pant on the market anymore that fills this niche.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jinjpn Bring back regular waist for Original Fit Pleated
Can't believe that you are trying to fix what isn't broken. Pls don't discontinue the Original Fit Pleated Baysides in the regular waist. The Comfort Waist means I can't wear these trousers as semi-dress up. I have worn these trousers for nearly 20 years, bought dozens of pairs, they fit perfectly. I wish you would offer a light brown color (Khaki is too pale for cooler weather, and Stone is completely out of the question - makes me look twice as big). I have a light brown pair that are practicallly worn out. Time for another. Please offer more colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Countrydogwalker Great Fitting Pants
After spending a fruitless day at the LLBean store in my State trying on the new Bayside Twill styles I went online and found last year's style on sale. Although I prefer the flat front pants in curvy, I tried this style and bought 3 pairs and love them. It drives me crazy how I finally find pants that fit, i.e. Curvy Baysides (my all time favorites) or even the older fit Baysides from years ago and they are discontinued. I decided to try these on sale, obviously last year's better style, the pleated Original fit which fit great. Now I see they are now being discontinued. I tried the elastic waist fit and they are horrible. Hang low in back, look lumpy at waist, and the hips are way too tight, even though it says relaxed fit, if I size up the waist is huge. I am buying more of these on sale and hope LL Bean smartens up and at least carries one style to fit the small waisted curvy woman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FormerFan You have done it again!
I am deeply saddened to see that you have discontinued this pants style yet again. When I found out this time I stocked up as best I could. But supplies were limited in my size so I will have to make do. I suppose that I could disarticulate a pair and try to make them myself if I can get the fabric. But I would much rather purchase from LL Bean. Please, please, please bring this style back. From reading the reviews there are a number of women who depend on the Pleated Bayside Twills (not the comfort waist) to be in their wardrobe. I have worn these slacks for many, many years. I am closer to 70 than to 60 and I outgrew the desire to wear hipsters years ago. LL Bean has always been my family's go to merchant for clothes shopping. Please go back to your marketing department and have a change of heart.
An LL Bean customer for more than 40 years! Don't let me down now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Devastated2 Please bring these pants back
I am really disappointed to find out that these pants are being discontinued. Theses are great fitting pants that I routinely wear to work. They are very versatile. You can dress them up or wear them as casual. I have tried the comfort waist by mistake and sent them back because they do not fit as well as these pants. Please bring these pants back.

Rated 4 out of 5 Good pants for curvy women
These are one of the few pants that I've found that fit "curvy" women fairly well. The cut in the hips is fairly generous, and the pleats give room for large thighs. The great thing is that the waist fits small-waisted women pretty well. Almost all other pants that are big enough in the thighs are 6-7 inches too big in the waist and gap way out in the back, so I appreciate the cut of these pants. Please have more styles for deeply curvy women.
