Already had a "performance" rain coat but that only covered to my waist and I needed something for walking to the bus stop that would keep my slacks dry as well. This works great for the task. I'm almost 6ft, 180lbs and it stops just above my knees and fit everywhere is spot on (I have the large). I also ordered the matching rain pants for those days it's REALLY coming down. I'm a happy customer.

I'm tall and skinny: 6'4, 175lbs. I bought the Large Tall size. It's a nice, well-made coat. More lightweight than I expected. Unfortunately, I am returning for a couple of reasons related to my own measurements. The coat fits nicely on my shoulders but balloons out around my midriff. Not so good looking. I'd prefer something a little more fitted-looking. A drawstring at the waist would solve this problem. And, despite ordering the tall size, the sleeves are a little too short for me. Another couple of inches there would have been perfect.

It is a great raincoat but there were NO insturctions or clues on how to fold or get the raincoat into the zipper pouch. Presumably the pouch is part of the raincoat but it is not so obvious AND still is not so obvious.
Would be very nice to carry in pouch but do not know how to do it.
LL Bean send clear info on how to do this.

This is exactly what I was looking for to give to my son going off to college. Thanks as always, LL Bean.
The bright yellow classic rain slicker color will help drivers see him while walking around the large campus.Reminds me of my college days many a moon ago.
The men's size large fits him well and can go over warm layers. The coat packs into the interior pocket, or folds easily into a backpack as it is lightweight.

Philosoraptor A few minor problems, but overall decent.
The jacket arrived with hood drawstrings tabs cracked and broken, they immediately fell off. While annoyed and disappointed it seemed like too little of a reason to return it.
It also had a very strong PVC vinyl chloride odor (think new plastic shower curtain smell) to it. I had to wash it to help remove the toxic odor.
I ordered a large tall (I'm 6'4" and thin) so decent sleeve length is hard to find. The body fits great, but I do wish the sleeves were a maybe an inch longer, but they're acceptable.
The jacket works well enough. In cold weather you'll have to layer or get the fleece lined version. The pockets are nice and plentiful, and it folds up nicely for easy storage and traveling.

This is one of the best light weight raincoats I have ever owned. It keeps you dry, you can store it in it's own pocket. I convinced my husband to get one and he LOVES it!!! It's warm, but breathes so you can use it everywhere.

I bought this store rather than the Goretex model because they didn't have the Goretex model (which cost $110 more) in stock in my size at the Tysons Corner store. I am glad I bought this one. It is much lighter and takes up less room when packed I also noticed in reviews of the Goretex model that the zipper does not allow you to open from the bottom part of the way up when sitting down (double zipper) which this model has.
I also like the velcro closure so you don't have to zip it up when it is not raining.
The only drawback is that the hood does not have a collar to roll into. That would make it perfect.
