Rated 5 out of 5áby fish4321 lenght of coat
you should consider making this coat in an extra long model. your "tall" model just comes to the knee of an average height male.

Received coat but had a slight problem with the zipper. I contacted LL Bean and they sent a new one out that day. When the new one arrived it was amazing how easy and efficient LLBean's Customer Service took care of me. I highly recommend the Rain Jacket and Kudos to their Customer Service. Thanks LL. Bean!

Thought I was buying a light weight summer raincoat for my husband that would pack and layer well for traveling. It is light weight but the lining makes it very warm- definitely not for southern climates. Very disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5áby atexasborndane Not really waterproof, as the zipper doesn't work
I am in the process of returning this waterproof Trail Model Rain Coat because try as I might, I cannot get the front zipper to work. Nor does it have snaps - only small velcro patches which are difficult to line up and are not of much help.
I bought it to replace my old LL Bean Stowaway Raincoat which has been great, but has completely lost its waterproof quality over the years.
Unless the delicate zipper on the Trail Model Rain Coat works, it's useless.

Rated 5 out of 5áby SCAV waterproof, pockets yes
Well it was a present for my grandson he wore it and was extremely happy with it waterproof, longer ( he's about 6 ft) and pockets to put stuff. Had a baptism of fire: lotsa of rain in Grand Marais ,Mn this past week over 3 inches.

Rated 4 out of 5áby chucker219wasp great fit and waterproof but poor zipper
the jacket is great in every way except for the zipper.
trying to get the zipper started is very frustrating, I got wet because I didn't zip it because of this problem and then it rained while I had it on.TO LATE.
to bad that such a great item is almost ruined by a simple zipper.

Rated 1 out of 5áby Mn1952 Defective zipper
I needed a longer raincoat to replace a jacket that is wearing out. I was hoping that the zipper issues mentioned in prior reviews had been corrected. It still hasn't. I couldn't get the bottom ends of the zipper correctly aligned; if I forced the zipper handle up, then it became almost impossible to unzip at the end. I would not want to be struggling with that zipper in the rain, and I don't think that I could force it more than a dozen times before it broke.
I would suggest replacing the zipper with several snaps, and replacing the small Velcro strips at the edge of the flap with one continuous Velcro strip, top to bottom. Still rain-proof, and zipper problem eliminated.

I Bought the coat which is great for golfing, when you sit in the golf cart the coat is long enough so your not sitting on the wet seat.

Rated 4 out of 5áby WahooDick rain slicker, rain coat
I bought a size Large to be able to layer with sweater, etc. in colder weather. I am 5'11", 175 lbs. and a Large fits well. The material is very light but seems substantial enough. Two side pockets and an inner pocket provide hand/ carrying space. Unable to tell as yet whether breathable. Color olive with light gray interior is nice. Knee length is good. Zippering is a bit difficult, but velcro connectors compensate somewhat. Price point seems a bit high. No guidance for folding up into its own inner carrying envelope.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Edamommy Loved men's version way better than the women's
I bought the women's version of this coat first and found the arms to be awkward (sort of tight) just as many reviewers had mentioned. But I loved the length and the hood. I wear a size 14 or XL women's but I ordered the XL men's and I love it. It is big on me but I can wear a bulky sweater or sweatshirt under it since it isn't lined. It folds up to nothing! And, the length is ideal for the muddy campus trails i walk to work. This is a great product.
