Rated 4 out of 5 Nice winter sport coat/weekend wear
Nice enough for the office, but casual enough for jeans and tennis shoes. If you are in doubt, order a "short." I am a 32-33 inch sleeve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Albert The trick is to by a short rather than a regular
I bought a 40S in this coat, and it fit perfectly, even though I am a true 40R or 41R. A year or so ago, I bought a similarly tailored corduroy jacket from Bean in 40R, and the sleeves are too long (as noted by reviewers). It really doesn't look too obvious. This short coat (which I'm sure is made exactly along the same lines as the corduroy one, probably by the same manufacturer) really looks great, and the price (I paid $79 and it's now $49, on sale) is pretty amazing for what you get--a warm, tough, but well-tailored dress-casual jacket with lots of uses. Plus, you can wash it (although I haven't done so yet).

Rated 1 out of 5 by CMCZ Sleeves aren't lined with flannel
If the sleeves aren't lined with flannel, what's the point? It would be perfect otherwise, and I'd pay $200 for it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ManFromValleyForge Loden is Dark
I was surprised to see that the Loden is quite dark. Much darker than shown in the print catalog or online. Nearly black. Call it "Navy Green."
I gave three stars because you might think that's a good thing or a bad thing, depending.
I indicated I'd recommend it to a friend only because L. L. Bean forced me to go one way or the other. I'd have preferred to stay neutral.

Rated 5 out of 5 by blazerman Great moleskin blazer
I bought this blazer in a 42R Loden color and was very happy with my purchase. I am probably more a 43R but this jacket has a fuller cut and it worked out great for me. Was really impressed with the substantial weight of the moleskin fabric, which is supple to the touch. I also like the classic 3 button style, instead of the 2 button variety you see in many blazers nowadays. I usually wear it with jeans and a casual shirt but I also wear it with a tie and buttondown shirt to dress it up too. Wish it came in a navy color.
