Hesitated as wasn't sure I really needed another jacket but now that I have it it's a favorite. Looks good, stylish fit and it's warm: not for super cold days but excellent 3 season coat. Appreciate the large inside pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5áby TCinPRORI A great dog-walking, mall-cruising fall jacket
In my view, this is a substantial, innovative jacket. If you know what to expect, you'll be pleasantly surprised when it arrives. Why a blended fabric? Enough wool to be warm and enough poly fleece to shed water and evaporate sweat. It's a dark heather color that is handsome.
It's perfect to pull over a short-sleeved shirt for Fall/Spring errands, outdoor sports or walking the puppies, even in a misting rain. A big fashion/function upgrade from a cotton/poly sweatshirt or thinner fleece jacket. I look like an adult among a sea of hoodies at the kids' soccer game
Feature-rich jacket...sleeves and outer slash pockets are lined with poly fleece, feel great against the skin. Zippers is smooth and quick. Can cinch it close to torso to seal out wind. Outer zip pocket for tickets, wallet or phone. Ear buds can be internally routed from breast pocket to phone. An even better deal on clearance. Note: care label says Dry Clean Only I found the fit was a bit loose for me, so I washed it and it shrank minimally to give me a better fit.

Wool is one of nature's best insulators and a mainstay in outdoor clothing. => First sentence. How smart !!
We combined it with the best soft-shell materials available to create this truly unique, exclusive fabric. => Second sentence.
This is not 100 % wool.
I thought it should be 100 % wool. No. It is not.
It's just made of mostly cheap polyester.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Mycroft Great, Midlayer Fleece. (Not really a soft-shell)
It has a thin 100% polyester fleece lining that (as another reviewer noted) does tug on shirt sleeves when donning but no more so than any fleece. The exterior of the jacket is 40% wool / 40% polyester / 20% Nylon.
My large tall fit true to size, if a bit roomy in the waist. It?s not an athletic fit by any means.
The jacket is quiet. The swishing sound associated with synthetic fabrics (traditional soft-shells) is absent.
This jackets is warmer and more wind resistant than a polyester fleece of the same weight/bulk, but cooler than a true-soft-shell jacket of this weight/bulk. I wouldn?t classify this jacket as a soft-shell. It lacks the water repellant and wind breaking characteristics typical of synthetic soft-shell jackets. It?s more fleece that soft-shell. As an aside, If the jacket is open, the pockets won?t keep your hands warm as the body-side lining of the pockets is mesh.
This is a great mid-layer fleece. On its own, it is ideal for freezing (but not sub-freezing) dry-windless weather. If you will be sheltered from wind and water this jacket will be comfortable to just below freezing. I suspect the -5░ comfort range provided is in Celsius degrees.
Combine this jacket with a goretex shell to cut wind and water, and an appropriate base layer for added warmth and the jacket can be an effective component for much colder weather.

áby Heberite Quality to detail
I spent about 3 weeks debating on whether to purchase this jacket or not. Very glad I did. It is an excellent quality wool jacket. I purchased a large and probably could have gone with a medium (42 Short suit size) but waited a bit too long and the mediums were sold out. It isn't wind proof but it is surprisingly wind resistant. Attention to detail throughout. YKK zippers with zipper grips and a nice touch of nylon along the front zipper to eliminate wear/snags on the wool. The sleeve cuffs have a fleece lining which is a nice addition. Excellent jacket llbean..well done!

Rated 3 out of 5áby lbmerritt Warm; no lining
This jacket has no lining, so your shirt will stick to the insides of the sleeves when you put it on and take it off. This alone is a good reason not to buy it. It is heavy enough wool that it is pretty warm, good to about 25 deg. if you are moving. It is pretty roomy in the body, but because the sleeves are "sticky", it seems like they are too small.

Rated 4 out of 5áby RJT3 Utilitarian-Casual
This is a well made jacket that is somewhat large in the shoulders. The large size was actually much larger, overall, than I was expecting.
Inside is polyester/fleece and outside is a wool/poly blend with a definite wool-look. Casual enough to wear out to the bar or restaurant, but utilitarian enough to carry what you need and still look just a bit "sporty." Napoleon pocket is large, but mesh lined on the inside. As are the hand pockets.
A nice feature is the double wrist cuff to keep out drafts.
Well worth the sale price.

Just received this jacket, very disappointed. Viewing the garment tag there isn't even 1% of wool in this "wool blend". This jacket is made with 100% man made materials. At best this jacket is only worth $24.99 to me.

Rated 5 out of 5áby spRon Have been wearing my green one for a year or more
It's a medium and fits comfortably under the arms unlike many other brands that are tight.
I like the look and fit and feel; it's wool! A soft shell, it's not a parka. Its a shell; breaths and suitable for a wide range of activities and conditions given its design and purpose.
I like mostly the look of wool. classier to me than the shiney nylons and patagouchies.trendies.
i think this is a classic look, garment that I will enjoy for years.
Getting ready to buy a second one in charcoal!..
