We bought this for our son who owns a construction business. This shirt looks professional enough for work, yet keeps him warm in the cold weather. When asked if he liked it, he replied, "I Love it".

I am a female and I purchased this as an over shirt for winter. I purposely bought a large size and it is wonderful. It is soft and really warm. The fabric washes beautifully, holds its color and wears well. I wish I had purchased one of these earlier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ec121 Great shirt-Poor buttonholes
This shirt is comfortable and just right for the Alabama climate. BUT the buttonholes have no backing. Upon opening the bag one was already frayed, and a couple more frayed after the first recommended washing to remove the excess dye. If not washed first, the dye will transfer onto other clothes. I exchanged the shirt and the next one wasn't made any better. Because of the wales, corduroy should have backing around the holes to reinforce the material. I returned them both. The body is generously sized. The sleeves are right for the size. The quality doesn't live up to the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WayneH Great Shirt!!
I received this shirt as a gift. Washed per instructions just in time for a cold snap. Wore it up on my roof while trimming a tree in 25 degree weather with a stiff northerly breeze. Warm and toasty! It's a great shirt for frosty days! Worth every penny!

Rated 1 out of 5 by BrianC23 Button holes ripped - design defect?
The button holes are not big enough, nor strong enough for this flannel material. Definite design defect. I returned the first shirt; but, the replacement shirt button holes ripped immediately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlamedaChris My New Favorite Shirt
I bought this shirt with an eye toward wearing it while out and about during our wet, chilly winters. I've done that and it's fit the bill perfectly. But I've also discovered it is just right for wearing on casual errands and kicking it on the weekends around the house. The fit is true to size, the flannel comfortable to the touch, the style classic and timeless, and the garment itself just the right layer to keep me warm no matter what level of activity. I am considering buying another one in a different color. I like this shirt!

Rated 2 out of 5 by HFSbF5 Way too roomy
These shirts are warm and high-quality, but way too roomy. I'm 6' with a 40" chest (and 32" waist) so I ordered the tall medium (specified for 38"-40" chests). When I received the shirt, the actual chest measurement was 50"! It had way too much extra fabric around my torso/waist. I also tried the regular small, which fit better around my chest (still much larger than the specification), but the sleeves were too short (as I expected). If L.L. Bean would correct the sizing on these, they would be perfect.

I ordered Bean's Flannel-Lined Corduroy shirt for my boyfriend. He loved it so much I ordered another one! The weight of the shirt is perfect for fall and spring, but I'm sure he will be wearing it year-round. The quality of clothing at L.L. Bean is superior to any other place.

I usually love LLB clothing. The quality on this shirt is not up to par. First indicator was that most of the buttons were caught in attached threads...the button holes are badly made. Even a cursory quality control effort would have detected this. I also was expecting a bit heavier corduroy fabric and one that did not wrinkle so much. It is comfortable and warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Elle3 Has become a FAVORITE!
I bought this as an addition to the same shirt (but different color) I gave my Dad last year. He absolutely LOVES this shirt and it has become his favorite go-to fall, winter & early spring top. He was very impressed with its high quality (this thing has some heft to it) consisting of a warm flannel liner inside a durable, thin wale corduroy, and he swears it is the most comfortable shirt in his closet. Dad has worn the shirt from last year at least once a week for the past 3 appliable seasons (even as a jacket at times) and it barely shows any wear, if at all. He wears it so often that it's gotten to the point where Mom has jokingly started complaining about trying to get him out of it. Maybe she'll want to throttle me for getting him another, but at least she'll have another color to look at; well, at least he'll be happy. Even though the price seems a little steep at first, it's worth every penny in the end because he'll get years of use out of these and that's saying a lot because he tends to be fussy about clothes and all. I highly recommend this one!
