great fabric and workmanship, as usual per llbean. however, top is skimpy and short and shrinks an inch or so when washed.

This shirt had no shape to it at all, at least not on me. The armholes were too big and the shirt itself just was shapless on me. the fabric however is beautiful. Sadly returning.

I am moved to write a review after seeing so many negative ones.
I love this top, I live in it all summer long, I own many in white to layer as well as a number of colored ones. It fits beautifully for my taste; I'm not looking for a tight fit, for summer it's nice to have some looseness. I've never had any of the many tops I've bought have poor stitching, large armholes or other flaws, and the material quality is good. I am hoping that this top will be sold again this year in plus sizes. (I've worn XL through 2X now, illness has caused weight gain.) So listen to the caveats of other buyers, but be aware that you're hearing from the squeaky wheels; most of us buyers have been more than satisfied.

I purchased this in Soft Cherry to match a Double L Zip sweater I purchased a few weeks ago. When it came today, I was so pleased that it matched exactly. I think the quality is excellent. Sale price and 15 per cent off got me to try it. I will be back for more.

I bought three of these shells and I am returning all three. I had them all dry cleaned before wearing them to remove the wrinkles from the packaging. They did not come back looking anything at all like the picture on the webpage. They do not press well and still look wrinkled and sloppy fresh from the cleaners. And my cleaner does a good job with all my other Bean items - pima cotton tanks, sweaters, etc. If you are admiring the smooth, pressed look of the shirt on the model, forget it. This shirt will never look like that once its been washed/cleaned.
I am going to stick with the pima cotton shells from now on as they are terrific and also clean/press beautifully.

I lived in these tops during the hottest summer we had in the northeast . Fit is very generous across the bust, for me a medium became a loose fit top. Armholes were fine, nothing showing. Very light touch with an iron may be needed. I would like to see small side vents in the same trim as the neckline that does not sacrifice the dressy look.

I ordered the size I usually buy, and it was too small. I returned it for one size larger and it was too big. I will be altering them (bought 2) because I like the fabric and style for wearing here, in the deep south. The trim at the neck and lower edge is just enough.

I like the fabric, the color, the drape, but the arholes were too big and too revealing (even tho I bought the correct size)! Unfortunately I had to return mine. Also returned a gift shirt I bought for a friend, because of the armholes. Please, llbean, make the armholes smaller! THANKS

For the woman of larger hips and shorter waist, this is not a good fit. Great from shoulders to waist, but too long and without side vents to forgive hip expansion, so it is headed back to Maine for a return.

I ordered 3 of these on promo sale. One passed inspections with sewing flaw right at front neckline. Stitching incomplete and lengthy string left hanging while attached at two ends. I still like fabric, fit and styling of shirt so will exchange for a good one.
