Rated 3 out of 5 by ADK4ever Good product, but difficult to attach
The kayak covers do a good job of keeping spiders and water out in between uses, but you need two people to attach them. It's a very tight fit! Also, make sure the kayaks are stored upside-down after putting the covers on because the rain water might build up and collapse them otherwise.

by HouseODogs Great Fit "once I figured out how to put it on"
I ordered this 41x23" cockpit cover to fit a Sundolphin Aruba 10. It appears to be well made and until I found a way to stop one end from slipping off as i stretched it to the other I was wondering if it would fit. I hooked a bungee to the stern and the rear of the cover. That secured the cover long enough to slip the other end over the lip the opening. Fit's like a glove! Measure carefully, don't use during transport and you'll be please with your purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dave874 Bottom Line, It Wouldn't Fit...
Quality was not up to LL Beans standard. Although size specifications for the cover, and the kayak (Field & Stream Eagle 12)cockpit opening specification matched, the cover just would not fit. Too small.
Return assistance by LL Bean was excellent.

I only have a 9 1/2 foot kayak and this cover would not fit over cockpit. Elastic is too short and tight. Cover is just too small. Gave up after 10 minutes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ADKkayaklover50 Good but Not for an LL Bean Old Town
The quality and the workmanship in this product seems quite good but I will need to return it because it is far too small for the LL Bean 12 foot Old Town Kayak. I will have to search some more to find one that fits my kayak.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NavyFlier Works as advertised
Purchased this cover for a late model "Wilderness System Pungo 120'. The quality of materials is worth the price paid. It fits the cockpit fine, but is not made for use when transporting your kayak on your car/truck as it would blow off easily. It does a great job keeping insects / dirt / dust / etc out of the cockpit when you store your kayak. I would recommend this to a friend or family member.

Rated 4 out of 5 Works great
I bought the size recommended for my Perception Prodigy 10.0 and so far, so good. Keeps the water (and the dog) out of my boat while it's stored on the beach, and I didn't find it too difficult to put on (once I figured out that I needed to start with the front end). I'm very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KayakingChicago Wonderful Product, Even Better Customer Service
The fine folks at LL Bean made my entire experience amazing. This was supposed to come with my kayak, but I realized it never did until months after the purchase. They were able to pull up my purchase record, verify I didn't have the cover, and make it right in just a few seconds. Only a few days later, I had the item in my hand and was quite impressed with how easy it all was. Well done!

Rated 1 out of 5 by JWMNH Won't fit
We got the cover as part of a Manatee 10 Deluxe kayak package, but for the life of me I can't get the cover to fit. As soon as I get it close to one end of the cockpit it slips off the other end. Even with two people we haven't succeeded in getting it to stretch all the way around the cockpit rim. It's a shame.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Swins This thing just doesn't work
Ok so I ordered this, the first set got lost in the mail. Customer service was great about it shipped out new ones next day. Something getting lost in the mail is beyond the control of LL Bean, and they did a fantastic job getting the replacement out...good on them.
Things started going south when I used these devices. I bought two, one each for both my Pungo 120s. The install was fairly easy, they seemed to fit snugly and were about as expected. Well I woke up today and one was missing and the other was off and wrapped around one of my free range chickens.
Seems that ease of getting them on, not such a great thing in terms of trying to keep them on. The end elastic cord that sticks out and is the bit that holds the cover on is tied and doesn't have a spring loaded keeper, so adjusting the fit is a pain. a fifty cent bit of hardware is standing between this being a so-so purchase and an awesome one....my chicken thinks so too and will require years of therapy.
