Keep track of your dogs, mark coveys and find your way with this handy GPS
Don't spend precious time in the field searching for your four-legged hunting partner. This GPS-enabled dog tracking system has hunting-specific features that follow your dog's every move. The high-sensitivity, waterproof Astro 320 receiver performs in any environment, even under heavy tree cover and in valleys. An info page updates your dog's position, route and speed every five seconds and has a five-mile range. You'll see his route and how fast he's moving. The display also shows when the dog is sitting, pointing or running.
The new Astro 320 is equipped with enhanced mapping capabilities so you can purchase and download maps from Garmin that show much greater detail, allowing you to better determine if your dog is about to enter dangerous terrain. It also lets you wirelessly send info with a hunting friend so you can share the dog.
The DC40 transmitter is attached to a neoprene harness that securely holds the antenna upright on the dog's shoulders. It can also be attached to a standard 1" collar. Additional transmitters can be purchased to track up to 10 dogs. Beyond dog tracking, the Astro allows you to mark coveys with time of day, elevation and how many birds you flushed. It also performs as a standard GPS for all your nonhunting outdoor activities and will navigate city streets and backroads. Imported.
