Rated 5 out of 5 by CAbel Crisp, Crisp, Crisp
I am very pleased with these sheets. Ordered second set. They are crisp and refreshing even later in the week before they go in the laundry. They do make more of a swish sound, but I like that too! These are our new Spring/Summer/Fall sheets! (before we go back to the LL Bean flannel ones when it gets cooler) Also these have plenty of room/length/width, which I like too. Thank you LLBean!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LivingBlonde The World's Best Sheets!
These are the sheets I've been searching for! True percale! I have never written a review for anything before, but these are so exceptional. The wrinkles are NOTHING! Take them right out of the dryer and the wrinkles are minimal. These sheets breathe! They are sooooo comfortably cool in the summer. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. Slowly ridding the linen closet of all other sheets and replacing them with these! Thank you, once again, L.L.Bean!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Karleigh Love the feel, overly generous sizing
I do love these sheets...I love the feeling of slipping between the crisp sheets after a long day. However, these sheets are overly generous size-wise. I like my fitted bottom sheet to fit snugly over my tempur-pedic mattress (9 inch) and these are billowy and impossible for me to tuck in tightly. (I have other sheet sets made for deeper mattresses and am able to snugly tuck the fitted sheet so as to have a neat mattress.)The flat sheet as well seems overly generous...I don't like my sheet to peek out below my bedspread and these do...I must put it on unevenly and then tuck in the side away from the line of sight in order to have a neatly made bed, Even the pillow cases are overly generous and I use king-sized pillows! I realize this is a strange complaint to lodge...something being overly generous...but it is of concern to me. Bottom line, however, I do love the feel of these sheets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LuckyStar57 This Percale Sheet Set in Queen is PERFECT!!
We are very happy with this purchase. These sheets in size Queen are roomy-no tugging to fit on mattress. We like the crispness and easy wash/use. They are our favorite sheets thus far! Purchased two sets. Hope LLBean continues to carry.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Momo14 Paper thin
Received the sheet set and was happy with the way they felt so I washed them and put them on the bed... Fitted sheet still felt fine but I'm guessing that was due to the mattress pad... The top sheet is paper thin,,, definitely not worth the price... The sheets will be sent back...

Rated 4 out of 5 by dogsrpeople2 I think I will love them
I think sheet reviews are so subjective -- I do not like soft, limp sheets which might be another person's favorite type. I have been on the hunt for sheets for some time and have cast aside sheets from other retailers that have been too thin; too limp; too scratchy [one set drove to me the sofa two nights in a row because they were so scratchy]. These sheets just might be the winner. They have a lot of body; I can pretend they just came off a sunny clothes line. I hope they get a bit softer with time; I suspect they will as I have only laundered them once. I always iron pillowcases and don't care if the sheets are wrinkled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Keysfins Percale, as it is meant to be
I bought this set in the blue and like the color. But I LOVE the percale feel. After a decade of using sateen sheets, we realized that they were just TOO soft, and did not breathe well. Our first set of LL Bean percale sheets were in the seashell pattern. We liked them so much that I ordered this set.
Crisp, cool, very generously sized, and they seem to be wearing just fine. I ended up buying flat/fitted sheets in the percale in white and in a neutral, and with a few sets of coordinating pillowcases, we have plenty of variety to rotate through. Highly recommended, especially because of the percale weave. Those who are used to a smoother, sateen fabric may find these 'crinkly' or 'stiff'.
In my opinion, it never hurts to try them, since it can be difficult to know how items feel if you can't get hands-on to check the fabric. The return policy is great for that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by jivinjeanne noisy sheets
I'm on the fence about these sheets. As soon as I took them out of the package I could hear that they were noisy like I was handling newspaper. So I washed them hoping that it was just a finish from the factory but NO they are still quite noisy. I put them on the bed and the first night everytime one of us would turn over it would wake us up it's so loud. I'm not sure we can live with these sheets. I'm somewhat disappointed concerning the price I paid for the set. Next time I'll go to the LL Bean store and feel the sheets before I buy them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by llluscious Not soft
I think the high ratings from Consumer Reports must have been for durability. They are very study and seem well made. The color is nice too, bought the blue. But I don't find them soft at all. I've washed them several times now, with fabric softener. For the price of a King set, I am disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lbilady I don't get some of these reviews.....
I don't think some of the consumers that posted a reveiw know what percale is. It's a tighter, firmer weave than standard sheets or sheets with a sateen knit. Percale reminds me of the sheet set that I grew up with and just recently threw away (after 20 yrs.). If you love the feeling of sheets that feel like they've come off the clothes line percale is for you. I wash mine with fabric softener and still hang them outside, there's nothing like it!
