Rated 3 out of 5 by BKBerryman Not for my use
I bought this for my summer training at Twentynine Palms, CA, and oklahoma National Guard training areas in Oklahoma. I am assigned with the Marines and I need a mat to keep me off the ground and rocks. This mat is not in the same league as my old cam camfuton. Would not self-inflate. Directi

Rated 4 out of 5 XLite almost as good as the Trekker
I love the 16 ounce weight of the XLite large and its slimmer tapered design does not hog the space in a solo tent. However, it does not measure up to my two year old 26 ounce Neoair Trekker in overall comfort and durability so I am returning the XLite. The Trekker fabric has three times the denier thickness. The fabric is more comfortable feeling and holds onto a slick bag and tent floor. The Trekker's edges do not collapse as much as the XLite's. I feel as though I am rolling off the XLite's slicker fabric, while the Trekker cradles the body with its 1" additional width. I would have been very happy with the XLite except for the overall better performance of the Trekker. The 10 ounce weight penalty is worth the better performance.

This is THE most comfortable, lightweight air mattress I've ever used. It's 2.5 inches of pure heaven! This is the only mattress I've ever used that I can sleep on my side without my bony hip hitting the ground. It's warm, too. Mine has hundreds of trail miles on it without a single leak (I do baby it and give it lots of TLC).
It is a bit narrower than I'm used to, so I just put my boots by my elbows and that keeps my arms from flopping down to the ground.
I'm giving it four stars instead of five because it is very noisy. I'm used to it now and it doesn't bother me, but it definitely bothers anyone sleeping nearby.
Make sure you take the proper repair kit with you as Therm-a-rest's standard repair kit is not compatible with this mattress.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beetle Love it
I just returned from a month of independent travel in China. I had heard that their beds tend to be hard and my joints are pretty sensitive, so I took this air mattress. It barely took up any room in my backpack and it is very light. But more importantly, I got an excellent night's sleep every night, which is more than I can say about my bed at home! I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amcmtclimber super light and comfortable
was looking for an ultra light pad and this fit the bill perfectly. I replaced a therm-o-rest pro-light. I've used the sleeping pad a few times now and find it to be much more comfortable than my old one. Given that comfort wasn't my primary objective that was a huge bonus. The only downside is that the pad is a bit more narrow than my old one. Haven't found that to be a big deal though. I don't find the pad to be 'noisy' as other reviews have noted. Once a sleeping bag is on top, you don't hear a thing. Great product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by NCMST4ME Lightweight and comfortable
The item delivers on just what I needed it for -- comfort and lightweight. Don't know how durable it is yet, but if it lasts for several years, I'd say it is a 5-star product.

I used it for the first time this past weekend. It was comfortable and had the cushioning I need when sleeping. It's light weight, easy to pack away, and readily fits into the backpack. Thanks!
