Rated 5 out of 5 by lk51 great tent
We have had this tent for at least 5 years and it has been the best one we have ever had. Just got back from 10 days in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and we again stayed dry even in the worst storms. Certainly not a 5 man tent for guys that are all over 6 foot but 4 and gear is workable.

Wonderful tent, totally waterproof and perfect for my claustrophobic 6'3" husband who is not a big fan of camping out. Four adults shared this tent with plenty of room for gear. We put it up quickly on a dark and rainy night with no problem. I chose it because of the excellent reviews it received online, and it didn't disappoint. LLBean shipped it to our house fast and free too.

Item was back-ordered, which I guess should not be a surprise when ordering a tent in September.
We have not yet used it camping, but we set it up to make sure we would not be surprised when we camp in October. Good thing, too, as one of the roof poles had a broken internal bungie cord.
We were able to set up the tent anyhow, but had to be a bit more careful. The tension during setup convinced us that the lack of a bungie is not a big deal.
I was able to get a replacement bungie cord elsewhere (none seen on LL Bean's site) and have since fixed it myself. I know LL Bean's return policy is 2nd to none, but I could not be sure of getting a replacement before we leave on our trip, due to the previous back order situation.

This tent is a great value. I was able to set this up in 12 minutes by myself. Taking it down was just as simple and it fits back into the bag!

Gave it four stars based on initial set up. Haven't used it in the "wild" yet. Could add or subtract a star depending on performance.
Good instructions for set up made it fairly easy for me to put this tent up by myself. Took about 20 minutes the first time - without the fly. Add another 5 minutes for that. Instructions also include recommendations for seam sealing (which I thought was good information)
Construction is good. Very sturdy poles and tent materials. Everything fit together nicely.
The tent is a good size for two or three people. I think six would be a little cramped but all tent manufacturers advertise what I consider to be absurd capacities for their tents. So no demerits for that.
At this point, I am very satisfied. Based on what I have seen of this product so far, I tend to believe that it will meet my expectations when I actually use it for camping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IndyGal65 Fantastic tent!!
Just spent a weekend in our new tent and we couldn't be happier. It was a breeze to set up. We did put a tarp underneath for extra protection. We're glad we did because the "20% chance of rain" that was forecasted turned into 4 hours of torrential storms and rain. We only had a very small "puddle" of water the size of a 50 cent piece near the door, probably from when we entered the tent. Otherwise, the floor was dry as a bone. We used two cots and placed our gear underneath them. Very spacious and easy to stand up to change clothes. We highly recommend this tent!!

This tent was purchased to replace another large car-camping only tent. It packs down fairly small but it is too heavy for anything but car-camping. Set up is straight forward and pretty easy. One person can get it together but two make it a snap. The first time I set this up it started raining about an hour after I put it up and rained for the next two days. Everything stayed pretty dry inside, only one seem leaked but I think that had to do with the tension the tent was under being set up on an incline. I wouldn't hesitate using again on a rainy weekend. I would recommend using a ground cloth under the tent to keep the floor from getting damp. I used one and even though I could feel the "squish" of the mud underneath, the floor stayed dry.

Only have used it once but seems like a good tent. Lots of head room. A bit difficult to erect but appears well made. Haven't used it in rain, so can't evaluate that yet.

by jenlynham Great family tent!
7-minute easy set up (the rain fly is hard to do w/one person). Fits 2 twin air mattresses and 2 pads, plus lots of room to stand up, get dressed, etc. One thing I don't like: no pouches on the bottom to keep water bottle, glasses, phone handy. No big whoop, but it'd be a nice feature to add.

Rated 5 out of 5 by youknowit Thank you very much
The Eureka Copper Canyon exceeded my expectations in every way. It was very easy to set up, withstood torrential rain ahd high wind with nary a drop inside and had some nifty features that I appreciate, a small sleeve for the tie down cords, a space to put a power cord if needed and a nice mesh hammock for storage. With cots set up. 3 people were very comfortable with plenty of room for numerous musical instruments and a soggy dog. Of all the other tents in our large group, the second best after this was a very ole Eureka complete with metal exterior poles. I believe several people in our party were heading to Bean's for this model. I appreciated the ease which the Customer Service Department accepted our unsatisfying tent, though we had dealt with the issues of snapped poles and difficult set up for some seasons past. I look forward to shopping again sometime soon.
