Just went on a 4 day camping trip with our horses and I haven't set a tent up in many years. It was windy and it was still fairly simple for two women. I think this tent is just perfect for my needs. The temps were between 60 and 89 degrees and we were very comfortable. Not thinking it would be big enough for 5, but 3 or 4 yes. We had plenty of room for our small suitcases, overnight bags and more. I especially liked the little storage bags on the lower sides so that you could find your bottled water, flashlight, cell phone etc. in the middle of the night if needed. Not too sure I would use it without the rain cover unless I was in a private spot because it is all screen, but would actually LOVE that in a remote spot.

I am so pleased with my Eureka tent. It is well constructed, inexpensive, and easy to assemble. We have been lifelong campers, and have used everything from World War II canvas tents (fun, roomy, but like building a house) to pop-up one man tents that feel like you are sleeping in a stuff sack. We can get a queen sized and a twin sized air mattress in this tent. The fly does not touch the tent walls, ensuring that rain doesn't seep through. Without the fly, it makes a good screen house. We like the subtle green color, too. The little pockets are a great place to stash the cell phone, and the overhead screen "attic" holds insect repellent, hats, or spare socks so they don't get lost under sleeping bags.

Easy to set up and spacious. Great for family trips or campouts in your living room. My kids love it. I havent used it outside yet. Bought in conjunction with coleman queen air matress and they work great together. Looking forward to using it outside.

Easy to set up. This tent goes up in minutes and is very spacious inside. We've only used the tent one time, outside in our yard, and the weather was perfect so we don't know how it will hold up in rain. We are impressed with the construction details, the height inside, and there is enough room for our queen size mattress and personal luggage. Can't wait for spring and camping season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WRJohnson Great tent for family and weekend use.
The tent sets up easily. It will accomodate easily 3 and maybe four adults. It should hold up well in most summer storms except for very gusty ones; suggested corner guylines will help in this case but are not needed under normal conditions. Lots of ventilation. Should be folded to fit in bag; otherwise, it must be really stuffed. Dries quickly. Real value for the price. I have had great past experience with Eureka tent products.

This tent very comfortably accommodated a full-size air mattress with plenty of room to spare for a hiking pack, camelback, and a couple of bags of clothes. The rain fly worked great (had a couple of days of rain), and with it off you may as well be just sitting outside. Absolutely beautiful for summer camping. I haven't used it in any other season yet, but I would imagine it to be quite brisk in late fall and wintertime. No problems with bugs or leaks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by vlkra Great tent - highly recommend!
We purchased this tent as an additional option to our Mountain Hardware Lighpath 3. We've started taking our dogs camping with us and we've got a baby on the way, so the 3 man was getting a bit snug. There were not any reviews of this tent on LL Bean when I purchased it, but I managed to find a few reviews on other sites. Most reviews stated that this was easy to set up and did well in the rain.
We took the Tetragon out for it's first spin this weekend doing some car camping in Shenandoah National Park. It was a gorgeous day that turned into a pretty windy and then rainy night, so we got to see the tent in a variety of conditions.
Pros:
-VERY easy to set up. Very very easy. We've set up a few tents in our time, but even for a newbie, this would be very intuitive and unless you are under 5' tall you could probably set it up all by yourself.
-Nice and sturdy. I think this is considered a free standing tent and while it probably performs best when staked you might be ok on rocky or sandy terrain if it wasn't windy. We were staked down this trip and I felt like we were nice and stable all night even with the wind picking up through the night. It wasn't gale force or anything, but it was pretty windy.
-Waterproof. The moisture repelling ability of this tent is ridic. We stayed 100% dry through an early morning downpour, no rain came in and the floor of the tent remained dry. We took it down in a heavy drizzle and just shaking out the tent sent most of the water off the fly and tent. I was a little concerned about the lack of a vestibule area for muddy boots and bags, but the tent is so big that unless you are trying to sleep 5 people in it, you'll be able to stick your gear in a corner and keep the rest of the tent clean. I was also a little concerned by how the rain fly just arches over the front and back of the tent, but it's perfectly designed so that the water rolls off far away enough from the tent to keep the water away from the door flap. The door also has a little flap covering the zipper to keep any errant water from rolling into the tent through the zipper.
Cons
-The only real con I can report is that the little flap covering the zip on the door sometimes caught in the zipper. A one-handed zip and unzip was possible about half the tent. You really need two hands, one to zip and one to guide to keep the flap from getting caught. This is a pretty minor con for me.
If you are looking for a great family/group tent I think this is a GREAT buy. You get a lot of nice features at a good price point.

This is the largest tent I have owned and was pleased it is just as easy to put up as my 2 man. I took a risk as no one had reviewed it. We have 4 sleep comfortably, and my husband is 6'2 and 250lb. He was very happy the opening is large. I love how with the fly off it is all screen and great for air flow and star gazing.
