I ordered this after reading mostly favorable reviews. It arrived yesterday and it was back in the bag within minutes of trying it on. I wear a 2 or 4, so after reading that it ran small, I figured it might be OK in the 4 (the smallest size). It is HUGE. And very shapeless. No amount of shrinking could solve the lack of shape. It looked like a hospital gown (without the open back!!) on me.
On the plus side, I loved the natural-colored linen fabric, and the nice detail around the neckline and hem. Disappointed.....wanted a linen dress for summer travel. Gave it 2 stars instead of 1, since it might fit someone else a lot better.

I love this dress. What a bargain! I am generally a 14 but I followed the reviews and ordered 2 sizes up to size 20. It's only a number because this dress fits me perfectly! I wanted it a little loose and below my knee. I am 5'8" and am so glad I went two sizes up. The fit is great! I am top-heavy and more apple than pear. The a-line cut is great for me. The black dress is plain but I love to accessorize with light cardigans and jewelry depending on the occasion. I just ordered another one of these in coral. Again, you can't beat the price.

I bought this dress to wear for dog shows. It is perfect because it is loose, comfortable, and easy to wear. It washes easily and is quick to iron. I also like to wear it around town.

I find the regular LLBean line size 4 to be too big all around. Since other reviews said that this dress ran small, I thought the 4 would fit, but it was still too big, especially in the chest. I am 5'3" and 112 lbs. The material felt scratchy, but maybe that would have improved after a first wash?

I have three of these dresses. I don't know what I wore before I owned them! They are easy to dress up or down. I wear with pearls to work or church. I wear with bangles for fun and play. Fits perfectly on this 4' 9" body.

I purchases two of this dress, one white and one coral and cannot find defect in them. The fit was roomy but not too baggy, the linen is cool in hot humid weather and so easy to care for. A quick wash in the washing machine with the quick energy saving cycle, regular detergent, hang up on a plastic formed hanger and it dries in a flash- less than an hour and only minimal touch ups (for neat nicks) with iron if neccessary. Hems lay flat after washing. Not too thin or flimsy to require a slip. It can be dressed up or down with accessories. Would love to buy more in other colors.

I have this dress in three colors and it's great for accessorizing to change a look. Would you consider offering a similar item in a sleeveless version- somewhat along the lines of the tank top but in a dress?

This dress fits fine and is made well too. However, the linen is not comfortable. It feels too warm for summer weather and is a bit itchy on the skin. I'd love to return it, but I lost all the original packaging already.
