Except for my pure cashmere sweaters, this is my favorite V-neck. I couldn't be more please and am writing this just as I prepare to buy more.

We have ordered several of these sweaters over time. But they shrink, and they pill. They do not last a whole season. We like that they are lightweight, and don't weigh heavily on the shoulders. But finding an alternative for a tall person is next to impossible. We are currently trying to find a similar v-neck, lightweight sweater for a tall man, but have so far had no luck.

Rated 3 out of 5áby LLBean4sure Lasts about a year
My husband has four of these sweaters. They were nice enough to begin with for the price, but over time, they become rather pilled. Invest in a clothes shaver. Two popped holes in the underarm seam that I have repaired. I do wash them in cold water inside out to preserve the knit, but that doesn't seem to have been enough. As I indicated, they're just over a year old. They're worn weekly. The last one I just bought this Christmas shrunk about two inches overall. Will have to re-wash it to stretch it out. I have seen another competing retailer combining cotton with merino, which I believe will wear better. Something for LLBean to consider.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Marya7 Wash AND Dry!
I am a tall woman, and occasionally buy men's clothing for myself, for both comfort & style, since menswear has long sleeves (not 3/4-length) and a long-enough body (not short & boxy nor tunic-length). This sweater fits me well, looks great, and feels comfortable. With a nice scarf/shawl and tailored pants I can wear it to work as well. I have three of them.
Recently I bought a color that I didn't really like all that well (now discontinued, I see), so I used that sweater as a test to see whether I could throw it into the dryer, against instructions, and I'm delighted to see that absolutely nothing bad happened to the sweater. I will now do the same with my other two.

Rated 4 out of 5áby bryclops Only issues are lint and loose body
Ordered a medium in navy. Construction seems solid, sweater is very soft and a perfect weight for the office. Quite loose in the body and lots of lint early on; we'll see if throwing it in the dryer helps with those issues. Confident the sweater can also handle the occasional wrestling session with the kiddos.

First time I've been disappointed with a LL Bean purchase. I bought this sweater for my husband as a 2014 Christmas gift. He has worn it MAYBE 6 times since then. It's got all those little "pills"and I just noticed today there is a small hole developing where the back of the sleeve is attached to the body. So very disappointed with this sweater.

Rated 3 out of 5áby FLshopLLBean Tall is nice and long with SHORT arms
This is a very nice weight sweater made in China. I purchased it in "Tall". The body is nice and long, the arms are regular length. Back it went.

Rated 2 out of 5áby OpinionatedOregonian Sleeves seem too short
I would love this sweater, but the sleeves for the Medium Tall are one inch shorter than the sleeves on the Medium Tall of the Men's Double L« Cotton Sweater, V-Neck, which I ordered at the same time. On the website, the sleeve length is described as the same for both (34-35"), but the Cotton/Cashmere sleeves are decidedly shorter.

My husband loves this sweater for its feel and warmth. The color range for this style is fantastic.

Rated 3 out of 5áby cloudsrest Decent!
First of all we all know form the get go that this sweater only has 5% cashmere in it. That being said, I believe that the cashmere does add some warmth and softness to this sweater.
I would say this is a medium weight garment, not thick or thin.
Something I don't understand it that I purchased a Large Tall, but the sleeve length is normal. The sleeves should be an inch or two longer for a tall. I am only 6'1" and the sleeves are barely long enough.
I have not had it long so I can't comment on durability. I will not be putting this in the dryer (as recommended) for fear of sleeve length shrinkage.
Overall..not bad but could be better. Good deal when on sale!
