Spend lots outside hiking and backpacking. This Anorak is what it should be. It's a shell to repel: wind and rain (not waterproof), dirt, and it's breathable. It's cut big to go over multiple layers and has drawcords to combat sail effect. Yes, the perfect traditional Anorak
by definition. Thanks for a wonderful product! Kevin

I've had this jacket for some time now. It is one of my top picks. It is easy to take with you with its flip inside itself storage. It provides good warmth for its weight. It can be a rain jacket if you are caught in something other than a heavy storm. Love the storage of the kangaroo pocket. It has good ventilation with the large center zipper.
If I have to take one jacket, this will be it. I will layer underneath if it is colder than the jacket can take by itself.

Just a perfectly made jacket for sailing and it actually has a liner. I also use the jacket for concealing a carried weapon and the jacket delivers in this arena as well. Quality as always with any Bean wear and made to pass on.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet. Taking anorak on cruise of British Isles in August for rain/wind protection at sea and ashore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rickity Perfect for SoCal
Living here in the Southern California area, We don't need the heavy stuff that the real hardcore's need in Maine. This windbreaker is perfect for a morning walk or bike ride. It's well made and does feel like cotton. It doesn't have that sticky nylon feel to it.
In case you're wondering, To stow this in it's front pocket, all you do is open the middle pocket and turn the whole jacket inside out, zip it up, and you're off.

This jacket does what it's supposed to and more. It keeps my upper half dry and it also doubles as a great wind jacket. Like the Guide Gold Color also.

I really like the ingenious design of this very light-weight pull-over that will allow it to be carried in it's own pocket! Good protection from wind and rain on the trail without being heavy or cumbersome... a comfortable, "cozy fit".

Have owned one of these LLB Anoraks for about 25 years. Used it for all kinds of events including hiking parts of the AT in winter. Great wind blocker. Excellent piece of gear. Keeps you high and dry in light rain. Ordered the new one because I thought I had lost my old one. Found the old one two days after receiving the new one.....keeping both!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beek Class Anorak is very versatile
Bought my first one in the 80's. Still wearing it but it's getting a little worn. I was happy when the Classic was relaunched. This one is just as good as original except I found that a Medium now is the same size as my Large was from the 80's.

I purchased it as a gift for my son. He loves it so I am happy with the product and LL Bean's service. Nothing new there.
