Wore these to stock trout and was pleased with the fit, comfort, and ease of getting on and off. Bought these to replace a competitors product and so far I like these better.

I own 3 sets of waders. Neoprene boot-foot for cold weather, gortex chest-highs and breathable waist highs. I had a competitors waist-highs for nearly 10 years and they recently hit the end of their life. After ordering a replacement set from the same company I returned them due to sizing....the same size I previously owned was rediculously large. I own other Been products and have always been happy with them so I decided to give the Emergers a try. LL Bean carries a lot of great products and their service is excellent. Arrived a day earlier than promised and I was able to use them for the first time last week. When I did the test fit at home after unpacking them, I immediately liked the fit and comfort. I'm not a big person but I am always concerned with sizing from a catalog order. I often fit in between a small and medium but these are great. A little extra length in the inseam and width in the thighs so they do not bunch or pull in the crotch when you bend and roomy enough to layer under for colder weather. As for the material quality, great value. Better quality than my previous pair and about $45 cheaper. Extra material where you need it for abrasions on rocks, brush or whatever and the back waistband sits slightly higher than the front which adds a bit more comfort and protection if you get too deep. I would definitely recommend these waders. For the price you get a great value and very effective pair of waist highs!

So far so good, be nice if there was a little pocket on the inside at the waist.

This is my second pair of Emerger waist waders. First lasted 4 years of weekly use and long hikes. Note: The new are better constructed neo. footwear, seams are on sides now instead of bottom to stretch and separate. If they last even less time then the first, I will buy them again. great wader for shallow water fishing. After 50 years of fly fishing and countless rugged hikes I highly recommend these waders. Tight lines.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 48Carol54George Two pairs leaked.
I used my first pair about ten times before I had a leak near the toe on my right foot. As usual; Bean sent me another pair without a charge. When I received the replacement pair, I had a leak near the left toe after only wearing them once. I retuned those and Bean sent me a third pair at no charge. I'm hoping this third pair is fine. I like the waste high waders and will continue to use them for sometime. I hope I don't need to replace the third pair.

Nice wader that is lightweight and comfortable to wear for hours. Not excessively bulky, easy to walk in to your favorite fishing hole.

I'm 5'9" and 165 lbs. with size 10 foot. The medium I ordered fits well. If you are any bigger, I'd go up a size. Really enjoying the waist style wader, and the quality is awesome. Only minor issue I've seen is that the lace hook on the gravel guards keeps popping off my laces. I'm sure there is an easy solution.

So far, so good. They are comfortable, durable, fit well and don't leak - but only time can tell with waders.

by Polargal Hard working and durable
This is my second pair and the first of the "redesigned" Emerger Waders and although I have not field-tested these, I am hoping they will outperform the originals. I returned the Mens Small Kennebec Waders I originally bought as they were too large and too long. I am 5'5" and 155 lbs and the Men's Small Emerger Waders fit fine. The stocking foot of the Emerger is large for my 8.5 shoe size, but I will be using these working in the Arctic again and need heavy socks so it works well inside a Men's size 9 or 10 water boot (depending on shoe brand).
The originals worked great for 2 months of hard, daily, expedition use in the Arctic three years ago (climbing, hiking, catching boats in surf, tundra-crawling). They are light and comfortable and easy to move in. The stocking foot developed a pin-hole leak at the end of that time (can't find it to repair it), but otherwise these held up fantastically well! I recommend never pulling on the stocking foot to preserve the watertight seams. Outstanding product, and I will compare the redesigned waders after this summer. I don't think you can't beat these waders at any price and would highly recommend.
