Rated 3 out of 5 by BearHeart A little too stiff.
It follows with the usual LLBean predictably excellent quality but for myself this product though well made is too stiff and feels a little too much like a Dickie brand utility product. I may have chosen the wrong type of product?
But, LLBean is excellent...I have shopped at LLBean since 1976.

These pants look sharp right out of the package. They look pressed all day and fit accurately. I'd buy them again in a minute.

For starters I'm 6' 170 lbs, and bought Navy in size 33 32. I purchased several Signature pants from the F/W 2010 season in 32 32, and all fit great [had to order 34 inseam in the Canvas Cloth Pant though]. So I ordered these pants in a 32 waist but had to return them since they were uncomfortably snug in the waist, seat and thigh -- Signature may have changed its sizing from the launch. Going up one size to a 33 waist made all the difference in fit for me. As expected, the material is coarser [than 100% cotton] since it's a blend workwear fabric, making it hearty and rugged. Ironically, they are a bit dressy possibly due to the dark color but primarily because the front crease stays. I dry them for 5 min, then hang from the cuffs to drip dry -- don't like pressing or dry cleaning anything. All in all, I really like this Utility Chino Pant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by djohnson5 Trim cut, durable finish
These Utility Chino Pants are from the L.L.Bean Signature collection, and come with a trim finish in the waist and upper thigh.
The fabric finish appears a bit more durable, or rougher, and though it feels ready for the outdoors, it looks ready for a formal dinner. A slight shimmer to the pants when in the light gives a fashionable appearance, with traditional L.L.Bean formality.
I strongly recommend these as daily work pants, even if you are a laborer, or need high move-ability throughout the thighs.
