Rated 5 out of 5 by CarolCola Soft & warm for clog wearers
I spend a lot of time in either clogs or hiking shoes so I like comfy wool socks that can take trips through the washer & drier without becoming shrinking violets. These guys fill the bill. I like the shorter top. I was a bit apprehensive as I tend to stick to Smart Wool socks & had a previous poor experience with LLB Cresta socks ( the heels wore out very quickly & they shrunk) :-( These socks are much better & I just ordered another 2 pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KathyinMN Very comfortable for summer
I bought 8 pairs of these socks a couple of months ago, and came back today to buy 8 more. I've been wearing the longer version in winter for years, and love these for the summer months. They keep my feet dry, and the interior texture is very comfortable. I have them in mocha, wisteria, and now green. I machine wash them and air dry to make sure there's no shrinkage. Great socks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sonshine56 Works for me
I am using these low cut wool socks for running outdoors in colder weather. Running shoes are "vented" (not solid) so this helps handle the cold and damp here in MN during winter and spring. I have the version that is part teal blue and they're pretty. They fit well. I've worn them several times and washed them several times and am quite satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hardheaded Great socks
Bought these for my wife who loves the Smartwool line. She said these are great, even though they are low-cut, they stay up on the ankles with virtually no slippage.

by NBoots35yrs Not for Hiking
I have been buying Hiking Socks from LL Bean for 15+ years. These are not the quality that I have gotten in the past. I work in boots 12 hours a day and these do not hold up. They snag easily, they do not provide much arch support (if any) and the material seems not as durable as in years past. I am attaching a photo of my previous hiking socks purchased through LL Bean. They are from oldest to newest (Left to Right) designs sold by LL Bean. The one on the left (10+ yrs old) was the best sock out of the three. The newest is the worst. These socks are fine for lightweight use.

I love the socks' comfort and warmth. Plenty of toe room. And the 'loopy' inside layer is soft and cushiony to my feet. So so comfortable! What a deal for the price! Worth so much more! As always, Bean's consistent quality!!! I wish there were more color choices.

It's hard to find a pair of comfy hiking AND walking socks and these hit the mark. They're soft and padded just right. I bought two pairs!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pensacola17 Comfortable but not as cushioned as unisex sock
I bought a pair of the unisex version of this sock while at the Freeport store because the store was out of the women's version. I ordered the women's version, and now I have tried both. I like the unisex version best because it is a little more cushioned, but I like the colors for the women's version better. I wish L.L. Bean would offer the unisex version in the women's colors.
