I like these slides, got compliments from co-workers when I wore them on a casual Friday. I do not find the length running large but I do agree they are pretty wide. I have no problem with it, just slightly roomy, the molded soles keep feet in place. Wish more colours like red and brown.

Purchased the color twig for it's neutral shade and love it however given the comments about sizing, I went a half size lower than what I normally wear (size 9). The 8 1/2 medium were too big so I re-ordered size 8 medium and they too were too big. Frustrated I decided to keep the size 8 and return the 8 1/2. Love the shoes just wish they were made to the specs of the sizes offered. Received my refund quickly within a day of LL Bean receiving them back which really impressed me.

I just received these shoes and they are going back which is a big pain because of the cost of postage.
The shoes are huge. Too big and too wide. After reading the reviews, I will try a whole size smaller.

I've searched a long time for shoes that would accommodate my elderly mother's swollen feet. Finally, I found these. They are lightweight, and easy to get on and off, yet they hug the foot well (and the rim in the back is high enough to preven the foot from sliding out). They have good arch support, good upper coverage, and removable insoles that can be replaced with orthotics. My mother us usually size double-wide, but these slides fit her well in size "wide". So I'd say they run big in width, but not in length. What's also helpful is they have stretch gore on both sides of the upper. So if your feet happen to be very swollen on a given day, the uppers will stretch to accommodate. You can wear these with or without socks. In the warm weather, my mother prefers no socks, and she says they are perfectly comfortable that way. My mother likes them so much, I've already ordered them in another color for her. I have the same style made by Merrell. If I had to do it over again, I would by LLBean's version, instead. After seeing how great these are, I'm sorry I spent twice the price on Merrells. I hope LLBean will come out with some additional summer colors...maybe light green, colonial red, etc.

They are light weight and would otherwise serve my needs well ~ if they were true to size. I ordered 8 wide and these are fitting like 9 extra wide. Undecided if I should exchange for 7 or 71/2 wide. Sometimes quality control lapses lets a mis-sized go through and if that is the case a lower size might be too small. Shipping fees to return once is enough. I am a loyal llbean customer but definitely disappointed with this purchase.

I live in the suede comfort slide in winter and was happy to find a spring/summer version! I received these the other day and I have been wearing them constantly. The ventilation keeps my feet cool and they are very comfortable. I love how the insole grips the foot so they stay on perfectly.

Just received my L L Bean Women's Ventilated Slides and I Love them! They are extremely comfortable even when you first put them on! I usually do not like slides as I need good arch support, but these are wonderful! I had purchased their Lace-up Women's Snow Sneakers a few months ago and used them quite a bit this snowy winter. Since they were so comfortable and give such great support that I bought these. Another great product! Thank you L L Bean!!

I have had many versions of this shoe from other companies, but this pair by far is the best fit and comfort. I have heel spurs and PF and these feel like little pieces of heaven on my feet. They seem a tiny bit wide to me but I think my feet are more narrow than average. I love these shoes. The quality is fantastic. I ordered black and am looking at the other colors to get a 2nd and 3rd pair.

I love this shoe! I wear them every day as my "inside shoes" and almost every other shoe I own is uncomfortable by comparison. I didn't think I was going to like them because the newer version has holes in the insole for "breathing" and typically things like that bother my feet, but they've been just fine.
I was looking to get another pair for outside this spring/summer and was disappointed that the black ones are COMPLETELY black instead of having white above the sole. Takes away the sporty look for spring/summer. Is fine to have that in winter with the suede slides #I have these#, but the mesh style for warmer weather needs the white. Also, I would highly recommend having a dark chocolate color as an option. I think this color would sell much better than the lighter twig or other light colors. I loved the pale green Bean had last year, but opted for navy for practical reasons, though, I was thinking about them for this year. I see they are gone this time around. Anyway, love the shoe!

These shoes are so comfortable, I could wear them to bed! I really appreciate the toe room in the shoes; they can be worn all day without experiencing any pressure or discomfort.
