Received my new pants today, tried it on before washing as suggested on label. Am still debating whether to return it. When will
LL Bean return to making pants, skirts with useable pockets? I do
not carry a purse when working/walking my dog and need pockets
deep enough to carry keys, cellphone and some tissue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Audriina So close to being the best jeans ever!
I am (almost) in love! These jeans are a dream in so many ways. The positive--fabric as soft as can be, looks exactly like denim, feels like you are wearing sweatpants they are so incredibly comfortable. I also love the fit. Though they do stretch out a bit the fit overall is close in the hips and thighs. Love that, I don't like billowing jeans. The problems--way, way too short. I am only 5'5" and I could use another 1-2 inches. I hesitate to wear these as I am a bit embarrassed of their length. They also do stretch out quickly after first putting them on. The size 12 I wear go on and fit beautifully but soon after look more like a size 13. The waist and placket are a bit thick and those two areas are not where you want "thick". I wear my shirts over my waist, not tucked in, so that I can ignore. The placket is more of a problem because it adds inches to your tummy giving me pooch where I don't have pooch--not good. These would be great year round jeans but because of the need to cover up the hip area (waist/abdomen) I will likely not wear them in warmer weather as I wouldn't be able to easily cover up the problem areas. Please LL Bean, these are as near to dream jeans as I've ever seen. Please make a few changes and keep them coming.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JeanJunky Good but not perfect.
I'm 5'4 and usually get petite but these came to just above the ankle after washing. So just a tad short as to not look cool. Also a tad thin and can get a small hole by back pocket tip (from previous order). Have ordered reg length and will see if a better fit. Hope that helps someone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PinkAzalea Fantastic!
Love these jeans and now have 4 pairs. They do look like denim and are hands-down the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn. As others have noted, they run large and stretch considerably as you wear them; I bought a size smaller than I usually wear--YMMV.
Would definitely buy these in other colors or styles, such as a cropped pant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Outdoorlover2 very nice pants
I got these in the darker indigo color and find them really comfy and they look nice for work. To me, they are thinner than regular jeans, softer and stretchy, but like someone else said, they maintain their shape pretty well. I wear size 6 petite in the dressier pants I buy from LLBean and find the 8 petite in these pants to fit perfectly. The rise is medium for me (not very high, not very low)...I'm 5'4" and around 122lbs with a kind of straight, athletic hips shape. Hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SierraJ Perfect pants
These pants fit perfectly. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size. The waist is larger than I need but comfortable. The pants can be worn for 4 days before they stretch out which makes them perfect for traveling.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KiminMD Not for Curvy Women with flat stomachs
I was so excited to find these jeans. I'd been wearing knit jeans from another retailer that went out of business. These jeans looked perfect, but they were too good to be true. They look great, the fabric is thick enough, they stretch just fine. So what's wrong with them? The waist is a little too big, but what really makes them a bad choice is that the rise is too high in the front (so if you don't have a bulge, there is too much fabric) and too low in the back. That, coupled with the waist being too big means that when they stretch a little, I can't keep them up. LLBean, please make a knit jean that will work for us curvy gals - I'm not heavy, I just have an hourglass shape. Lower the rise in the front and give us more fabric in the back and tighten up the waist a little, just a little.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Auntterry Poorly sewn zipper placket
My first pair gapped at the zipper placket after washing. I ordered a second pair which gapped before washing and so sent them back. Did I get 2 bad pairs as no one else has mentioned this issue. Otherwise the jeans are great. Very comfortable and while they do stretch when you wear them, it's not too much.

Rated 3 out of 5 by GrammaFL Disappointing. Rise is low.
I've worn these jeans in the dark midnight color for several years. They are great. I ordered the white ones and was disappointed to find that the hips were a little more snug and I measured the rise against the dark jeans and found that it was 3/4" shorter. This makes for an unflattering fit for an older woman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SeesNJ Great "Jeans" that fit perfect
They look like jeans but they are not "jeans". When I first got them I got these earlier than the estimated arrival. I was thrilled when I got them & tried the on right away! They feel like jeans going on but they are not "jeans". I'm 4'11" & I purchased a size 10, which I usually get & I still have some wiggle room in the waist. They are so comfortable, that I just bought another pair but only in petites. Let's hope LL Bean doesn't discontinue these too quickly
