Warm when it's cold. Not too warm in warmer temps. Wife makes fun of me when I wore it with temps in the 50's, because it looks like a real down coat, but it's comfortable in that range. Ok to down in the 20's. great that it packs away for travel. Medium a little big on me at 5'11", 150 lbs. I could probably fit a smaller better, but the price was right on sale. Two issues for not giving it 5 stars. #1, primaloft stuffing starting to come out of seems in small amounts, but not substantial. #2, needs a chest zip pocket. Will probably keep to use for travel, unless it loses anymore primaloft

I'm 5'11" 190 lbs and I bought the medium regular to use as an alternate to down on backpacking trips where rain is likely. It fits great and while no weight is listed on the Bean web site, I'm guessing less than a pound. I shopped and tried on many competitors and for the money this is a good deal. My only complaint is that I wish it had a soft micro-fleece collar. My Montbell down sweater/jacket has that and it feels much more comfortable on my neck.

It's one the best layering I own, very comfortable, easy on and off over all materials. great for walking the dog in the early morning or any other activity.

Excellent Quality. Happy with purchase. Catalog stated trim fit ( would have been happier with normal fit). I believe going to the next size would be to large.

I bought this item as a warm insulating layer. It is far warmer than the fleece I have, sweatshirts, sweaters, and so on. It is a little slim fit as other reviewers have noted. But I am not skinny and it fits me perfectly. If you really bulge in the middle you should size up one. As it is this pullover is a great one to keep you warm on cold chilly days.

I've been thrilled with this pullover, having also considered performance down and synthetic jackets from other manufacturers. It's perfect for shoulder season wear, and taking along as insurance when hiking, climbing or sailing. It stuffs into it's own pocket, and weighs an acceptable 11.5 oz. It's great under a hard shell as well, extending its range into winter. Essential layer for active people interested in keeping pack weight down.
The price is exceptional when compared to competing products, and construction and materials are top notch. The outer shell and insulation are through-sewn but the interior lining is totally separate and unstitched. This contributes to the jacket's thermal properties. As for comfort, it's quite breathable, wispy light and offers good range of movement. I'll be using this for all seasons.
Durability? This was designed to be a light weight layer, not something to abuse, subject to fire or for tearing through thorns. When the going gets rough, protect it with a shell and it should last for years.

I was at a recent outdoor hunting show and the reps from Primaloft were doing a demo on their product verses goose down. I had been looking for a light jacket to wear backpacking. I saw that one of the reps was wearing an expensive brand Primaloft jacket and asked how it performed. She loved the jacket but recommended a much cheaper version at LLBean. After ordering and using this product a few times I am very pleased. It is very light on my body and which makes it comfortable. It kept me warm in snowy 25 degree weather under my light rain jacket when I was snowblowing several neighbor's driveways and it breathes! Cant wait to wear it more in the cold and windy Utah spring. Consider ordering one size larger if you have wide shoulders.

Got this for my husband to take on an Alaskan cruise, love that it's lightweight (can stick to taking just carry on luggage) and looks good, but we're debating whether or not to return it. Would love for this to have a full zip. Tried to order the Ascent Primaloft jacket but they are all out of stock now (February). I only wish this was full zip. If we don't return, might try to find a good tailor to put a full zipper in. Scared that it will get destroyed if we do that though.
