Rated 5 out of 5 by MirandaT Wonderful fabric, lovely color.
For some time I've been looking for a cover for a down comforter that occasionally sheds annoying little feathers. Most comforter covers seem to look like big, rather unattractive fabric bags. When I came across this comforter cover, I immediately liked it its design and ordered it in rose. The comforter cover is nicely tailored (i.e., it does not look like a big bag), the fabric is silky to the touch and feels wonderful. The rose color is a somewhat muted, gorgeous, deep but soft color. The only problem is that there are no King shams to go with the King comforter. The LLB telephone representative was very helpful in recommending King pillowcases in the same color. They have a deep hem and should do just fine as "King sham substitutes".

While beautiful and soft, the twin comforter is not wrinkle resistant at all. I purchased 2 for a guest room just before Thanksgiving break. My college children and their friends stayed in the room during both the Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks and the comforters wrinkled terribly around area near pillows. The rest of the comforter wrinkled terribly if the beds were not made?.which is typical of a college student?I really wish I could return them. Ironically, I purchased a plain white duvet cover from Ikea for 30.00 for a queen bed at the same time and it is just fine. Go figure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SophieG Nice detailing
I get most of my bedding from LLBean because of the high quality and "homey" style, but at first I was hesitant to spend $99 on a twin-size comforter cover. Boy am I glad I did! I needed two duvet covers for a guest room, but because the room is so small, I wanted a solid white color. As one other reviewer pointed out, a lot of plain duvet covers out there look like giant boring pillowcases. This one solves that problem by having a nice rectangle of decorative tucks on the top surface of the duvet cover, which fall at about the edges of the mattress. It's a simple detail that really spruces up the cover and makes it look finished -- perfect for what I needed. The tucks needed a quick touch up with an iron when I first put the covers on to get they to lay flat, but once I did that, they look great. The fabric is ultra soft and silky, and very comfortable -- not completely wrinkle-free, but since it's 100% cotton, I wouldn't expect it to be. I also found the cover to be generously sized and fit my duvets with ease. These were definitely worth the money, and I would really recommend them for people who need a solid color, but appreciate a little extra decorative detail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShoppinBeanForYears Really IS Wrinkle Resistant (and soft too!)
This is the best comforter cover we've ever had. We also purchased the wrinkle resistant shams and sheets, taking a chance these would come out of the dryer looking better than our previous ones. While our older bedding was also from LLBean we must say that this new bedding is absolutely wonderful. Followed the care instructions (low heat in dryer, removing promptly) and everything comes out really beautifully. Not only do these look nice but they are very soft and comfortable as well. Expensive bedding but TOTALLY worth the money! So glad we decided to purchase these and I would buy them again in an instant.

Soft and wrinkle resistant, yes very nicely so. But, the twin size is very narrow and short' doesn't look like the picture at all. In addition, the stitched middle insert doesn't lie flat, the stitched edges curl up and in, not flat. Lastly, the light moss color doesn't match the light moss color of the sheet I bought. Expensive disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mamatimes2 Exactly what I wanted!
We had been searching for a new duvet for a while. I had one picked out at another home store and was shocked when they wanted $20 for shipping! This is almost exactly what another place would sell me for $200! We love it; it's soft and comfortable, yet tailored and sophisticated. We wash our bedding every week and I have not yet had to iron it. A great buy!

I bought this to fit over the box stitch down comforter. I purchased queen size for both; the duvet was way too big. The comforter kept sliding down and every morning I would have to shake the comforter back up to the top of the bed. The rose color was more like a dull pink; not true to the color you see online. And finally, the duvet is "noisy", almost like sleeping under a piece of plastic. I am a huge fan of LL Bean but very disappointed with this product. If you choose to purchase this item, recommend buying a size smaller than your comforter.

This comforter cover is great! It really is wrinkle resistant, which was my main requirement. It fits the bed well; it looks very neat, like a bedspread. Somehow it also holds the comforter's loft well and even keeps it in position on the bed.

The covers turned out exactly as we expected. The fabric is smooth and silky, very pleasant. The color, deep red, also turned out well and matches the bedspread.

I looked all over for twin size red comforter covers and finally found the right red color. These are as pictured - a deep warm red. Beautiful satin like fabric. Popped in dryer to remove package wrinkles and they came out smooth. Fits comforter generously. The double pleating is a nice touch. Worth the wait.
