Rated 5 out of 5áby varbizu Love these polos - wish they were in stock!!
I have been buying the plus-size Double L Relaxed Fit polos for years - I'll buy 5-6 every year or so, and I wear them until I kill them (oil splatters, paint smudges... you name it)... but the past two years, these shirts sell out so fast that I haven't been able to replenish them!! I'm down to two - black and pink - and they are looking sad, but I refuse to get rid of them until I can replace them. I am a willing and loyal buyer of the plus-size relaxed polo - please stock more of them so I can buy them!

Wish you would keep more black and navy in stock. I have not been able to get a black one this entire season.

Rated 5 out of 5áby SueDC Advice about fit
A lot of reviewers have commented about the fit of the relaxed vs. tapered fit polos. I'm 5'8" and 158 pounds, and carry some weight at my waist. The relaxed fit polo is generous at the waist, so it ends up to be slimming in effect. On my "thin" days (under 155), the trimmer fit polo is also flattering. And there's a real difference. If you have an hourglass figure, get the tapered fit. If your waist is nearly as large as your hips, the relaxed fit will be more flattering.
And for everyone, these are the best quality polos around. The fabric is soft and beautiful, and they hold up to dozens of washings. I'm constantly trying to find other options because you can't buy these in petites (I like a shorter shirt as an option), but always come back to LL Beans -- and just pay to have them altered.

I agree with other reviewers. Fits awesome...EXCEPT the sleeves are too short. I have to keep tugging at them trying to stretch them in length. They look like cap sleeves on me.

If your arms are toned and slender, the length of sleeves do not matter. However, if your arms are not toned and slender, these sleeves are too short for them. One more inch of length in the sleeves and the result would be a better looking fit on the variety of types and sizes of arms women realistically have.

Finally a shirt that fits a person who is short waisted! Even my husband commented on how good it fit. I'm going to buy more in other colors. Thanks L.L Bean!!

Rated 4 out of 5áby LindaHH Love these shirts BUT
I've bought seven of theses shirts in various colors in the last year. Love the fabric, the fit, the length. My shirts are all hung to dry and I had planned to buy several more this summer and fall BUT two shirts have developed holes in the last couple of months so I am questioning whether I want to buy more. I returned one hoping to have it replaced but there were no more of that color so my money was refunded. The second shirt developed a hole near a seam in a place I could mend without it showing too much. Like I said, I love these shirts and I would like to buy more but I really hope the other five that I have already purchased hold up a little better.

I have been wearing L.L. Bean polo shirts for 25+ years, back when I was a size medium. No longer a M, I am glad that Bean offers the relaxed fit in Plus sizes, but I have long wished you'd offer us more than just pastels and muddy colors. Not all size 18+ ladies want to stand out like peacocks, but would welcome the option to choose from more traditional colors.
I would be ecstatic if I could always count on the excellent-but-elusive Bright Navy. Not only is it a rare offering in Plus sizes, when it does come up, it sells out almost immediately. Every. Single. Season. Perhaps Bean could take that as a hint to produce more. (Classic Navy, an almost-black navy blue is not a suitable replacement). So why not offer us polos in this season's beautiful Mallard Green or Classic Emerald? Or even the Glen Green that's been around since ~2012.
Pros: Long and wide enough through the torso to actually *do* things, such as gardening, sailing, hiking, clamming, and so on. Comfortable. Thankfully, still offered in the traditional 2-button placket. Holds up beautifully when washed in cold water and line dried.
Cons: Sleeves now designed too tight and short. Over time, the shirt will shrink in length/width if run through a full dryer cycle. No tennis tail. The few classic colors offered sell out immediately,
With some caveats, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Whenever I try to buy more than the one I already own, they are sold out in my size. It's May, LL Bean! Plenty of days left for summer clothes shopping. How about improving your stock??

Comfortable material, but sleeves are way too short! Really need more length there. Will think twice before purchasing again, as the sleeves are not comfortable.
