Rated 5 out of 5áby CrystalBlue One of My Favorite Coats
I purchased this coat in the color Elderberry a year ago. The term "wool-lined" is a flimsy wool - not the quality of the an older style coat I have, which is truly a wool lining - nice and does add warmth. I thought about giving one less star for this reason, but decided against it because the coat is so wonderful is so many other ways. But I must warn you, if you are purchasing this coat for the wool-lining, you will probably be disappointed. I purchased this because I am in the car - a lot - and wanted a 3/4 length coat that I could layer underneath, if needed. This coat provided the room to do that. When one is in a car for hours, one does not typically want a big and heavy coat - too hot. I also loved the fit on this coat. I loved the sleeves. They were actually sleeves with a nice and stylish band that can make the sleeve smaller. The sleeves were finished - NO VALCRO on this coat - YEAH!!! An actual adult coat. I will also add one day I got caught in a down-pour and was just slammed with rain for about five minutes - I mean really heavy rain. This coat was soaked, but I was as dry as could be.... I really hope you are not changing or discontinuing this style. I was hoping you would come out with more colors.

This is not wool lined!!! It is nylon...VERY!VERY! THIN and COLD!! How can you advertise as wool and it's NOT! This is going back. Size large is huge. Quality control needs to wake up. If it was warm with a (wool) liner I'd want to keep!!

Rated 2 out of 5áby Elisabeth92 No shape, unflattering cut
I wanted so much to love this raincoat, but it just has no shape and it is way too big. I ordered size XS, but I am floating inside it and the cut is simply unflattering. It seems very well made and sturdy -- I just wish the design was more feminine and flattering!

Rated 3 out of 5áby mevs So Disappointed!
I would love to buy this coat with a wool lining but llbean did not order enough of the deep red color I guess. I ordered one in the Large size, which is what I had ordered in previous versions of this coat which still fit me fine, but the Large in this one was way to big so I had to return it. By the time I reordered in mid-October they had run out of the deep red color in Medium so unfortunately I am out of luck for this year it seems. I keep checking the website hoping it reappears in my size and color.

Rated 2 out of 5áby sheameister Monkey arms; so disappointed
I wanted to love this coat so badly... it is everything I wanted: water resistant, a-line, with a removable liner and a hood--and it comes in colors other than black!
I bought the PETITE large and I really do love everything about it EXCEPT it has the most insanely long arms!!! This is a petite! I'm even a "tall" petite, at 5' 2.5", and I'm pretty sure I have average arm length, but the sleeves on this came well past my fingertips. Ridiculous. I might have considered having it altered (though SO frustrating, as the coat is already not inexpensive), but the wrist tabs less than an inch from the sleeve hem--with SNAPS--make this an impossibility. I will be returning this in frustration and probably won't ever buy LL Bean outerwear again, now that I know the petite arm length is so excessive.

Rated 2 out of 5áby MDY66 Disappointed
I've worn H2Off raincoats for 10-15 years. Eventually they lose their water repellency, but I still wear the "newer" coat if the weather is cool and it's not raining hard. I ordered the 3/4 length "wool" lined coat for travel in my usual size, Large regular, but it was enormous. With the lining in, I felt like the Michelin man--and hot. As others have said, the sleeves were much too long, and because of the buttons not easy to shorten. The styling has been changed, and I miss the old stand-up collar, but the fabric is now apparently fused with vinyl, so it's crackly but probably more waterproof. I returned this coat and ordered the long unlined coat in Medium petite (I'm 5/5")

I love this coat and wear it a lot. It washes well (although the wool lining must be dry cleaned) , and it is an attractive, practical coat for New England. My problem with this style is that the zipper does not hold up. I have had to return two of these coats for this reason. The coat still looks good after a few years of wear, but the zippers no longer work. I am returning my second coat today for this reason.

Rated 5 out of 5áby voleperson Classic look - Pretty teal color
I have an older model long H2Off coat that I purchased in a taupe color. I love this coat but wanted to add a shorter one for casual wear. This fits the bill with classic style and a lovely teal color to brighten the cloudy day. The coat has a generous cut so keep that in mind (and maybe contact the helpful online customer service folks for an assist - I did and got it right the first time! Thanks) as you might wish to order down.
I expect to wear until in Chicagoland until the weather requires I switch to down (December or so) and remove the lining for the (hopefully) warm spring showers.
Simply a classic (and classy) coat that will take me through the cool fall, early winter and spring - Thanks LL Bean!

Rated 2 out of 5áby brander Too voluminous
My boyfriend bought this for me for my birthday and ordered an XL. It was gigantic. I returned it for a Women's L, which is what I normally wear (I'm 5'10, normal build) The Women's large was also very voluminous. It felt like a maternity coat and would work great for that purpose! Without a belt, it had approximately 1 foot of extra space inside the coat when zipped. I also was not impressed with the quality of the "wool" lining. It is very very thin, and feels synthetic. Sent it back again.

Rated 5 out of 5áby dnyc All around GREAT..
I wanted a jacket that would wear well, would layer well and wasn't black. After hugely researching through at least 5 websites I came back to Bean. Large is LARGE even with the liner (which fits into the jacket without too much bulk) -- but I want to layer and I want to be comfortable when traveling. The blue will brighten a rainy/snowy/yuk day and is "dressy" enough for traveling. Was delighted that it came out of the package almost wrinkle free. That should make it super for traveling.
Was agreeably surprised by the cute detailing on the back -- must have missed that when I researched! Would like more pockets but those on the jacket are deep enough for gloves and a hat.
