by MannyM Good shirt, I want the discontinued color
Very nice shirt. At a clearance outlet in Maine, I found one with kaki and beige lines on a cream background (see photo). I love the color but it is not available anymore. Why?

Disappointed in the wrinkle resistance of this shirt. I've washed it only once and took it out of the dryer after it was dry but before the dryer had stopped. It didn't look good enough to wear without being touched up. What's so disappointing is that I have similar shirts from L. L. Bean purchased around 2 years ago which come out of the dryer looking perfect. Why did they mess with a good thing?
Also note that there is a tag in the collar of this shirt attached on only one edge, so that the other three edges are free to irritate your neck. I point that out because the tag does not appear in the photo on the web site that I am looking at at the moment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LindaABC Nice Shirt, but It Wrinkles
My husband has this shirt in three different colors. It's a nice shirt. Fits like it should. But, it has to be ironed to look nice enough to wear to work in a casual setting. There is another shirt on this website--something like the "Kennebunk Sport" that actually comes out of the drier looking wrinkle-free enough to wear without ironing. It's not quite as heavy as this one, but it's great under a sweater. This one is fine; it just needs to be ironed to look nice.

Several years ago LL Bean sold these amazing twill shirts that came out of the dryer looking like it was freshly pressed. We NEVER ironed them and they wore like iron. My husband absolutely loved those shirts and wore them until the collars started to wear, but only after several years of wear. Unfortunately, Bean has stopped making that quality of these shirts. This shirt is thinner and really needs a quick press to make it look as good as the "old time" shirts. He likes the shirt, but the quality is just not the same.

I really enjoy this shirt. My only complaint is that this shirt was sold out in every color except for the yellow or I would purchase more. Excellent quality. My wife loves it. Appreciate the gratis monogram and free returns with my LL Bean Visa card. Order before the stock becomes exhausted on the last color.

Not only does this shirt look nice, but it is perfect for traveling. It comes out of the suitcase unwrinkled and stays that way. We're just finishing up a two-week trip to southern Italy (no laundry facilities), and I've washed the shirt by hand four times. It dries very quickly and looks as though it had been ironed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mervich Great Shirt - Little Wrinkle Resistance
I have a closet full of Bean's button front, wrinkle resistant shirts that look professionally laundered out of the dryer?not this one though. This shirt is kinda-sorta wrinkle resistant. Out of the dryer, it is less wrinkly than an untreated cotton shirt, but enough wrinkles to require an ironing. That said, this is a beautiful shirt with a traditional fit. I would not hesitate recommending this shirt to others, especially if one doesn't mind a bit of ironing.

Fashionable, light weight, great colors, great fit, and washes well. What more could you ask for? I bought both the yellow and blue. This is a well made shirt at a fair price.

I just pulled this shirt out of the dryer and it looks good to me. Don't understand the complaints about not being wrinkle resistant. Great shirt. Good job Beans.

I've been buying these shirts for years, the only ones I can find in Tall that fit properly. They've been pretty consistent on quality, the three I received this week show signs of corner cutting.
The pockets are not crisply pressed now so the top of the pocket just rolls over instead of a nice pressed top. (I've got 5 year old shirts of this same type that are still crisp as new, even after dozens of washings)
The pattern matching on the back is a bit off, the box pleat on the old shirts are all perfect, the new ones, about 1/4 off center and not pressed into place in an even manner. Neither problem worth sending them back, but Bean, you need to get after your vendor!
