The shirt needs a button on the back of the collar. I bought more shirts from one of their rivlas this spring for this reason.

Nice shirt, once you get by the need to touch it up with an iron. Unfortunately, it hasn't stopped shrinking yet. I have to return it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Acemoose Coddle it when it fcomes out of the dryer
Great shirt, COOL and cool looking as well. ONLY problem is that when it comes out of the dryer, the front placket tends to dement itself out of shape -- it gets a little curly-looking. Smoothing it down and putting something weighty (I use a box) on top of it will flatten the placket enough so I can hang it up in better shape than it was when it came out of the dryer (and yes I follow the laundering instructions and yes Ironing is not in my vocabulary)

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rich123 Dreaded Neck Label!
The review from Goldenoldieplus is spot on. The "TRADITIONAL FIT" label irritates my neck. The label isn't shown on the shirts in the catalog. The Men's Summer and the Rocky Coast shirts all have a "SLIGHTLY FITTED" label which irritate my neck.
This label is not needed, it is located in a terrible place, and the corners of the label are sharp.
The "TRADITIONAL FIT" label cannot be removed without tearing the fabric of the shirt. These shirts, which were made in Sri Lanka according to the main label, use vey small stitches to fasten the label which are extremely difficult to remove.
The "SLIGHTLY FITTED" labels in the other shirts, which were made in China, have larger stitches which were easier to remove.
In addition the fabric is extremely thin and light which exacerbates the problem of removing the label.

These are great shirts. They are cool in the S. Alabama heat and cut well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by nelca Not Much of a Seersucker
I bought two of these on sale, so the price was right (19.99). But I am disappointed with the material. It's not what I expected a seersucker shirt to be. The "crinkles" are very moderate...I doubt this will give much of a "cooling" advantage; to do so, the crinkles have to be substantial to keep more of the material off your skin and let the air circulate. Have bought seersucker shirts before at other merchants, as well as LL Bean. They are great in hot weather, but I will probably be returning these. On the other hand, if you are more concerned with appearance than the cooling factor, these shirts look great, nice colors, and are noticeably less casual in appearance than proper seersucker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mojoon I've been wearing these shirts for years
I've been wearing these shirts for years and I love them. They breath well and keep me very comfortable in hot weather. I like the button downed collars which gives a little bit of a dressier look in a comfortably casual shirt. I'll continue to buy more in the future as I need them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LLBeanShopperDeluxe Wrinkled Mess
So disappointed. Had purchased for my husband based on another LLB seersucker shirt I bought for him last year - same style, short sleeve, one pocket, button down, seersucker. That one comes out of the dryer without a wrinkle on it. Not so with this one. This shirt doesn't just need a quick touch up with iron, it requires a thorough ironing. Material was wrinkled, hem was curled up, and button placket was all creased. I've never had a seersucker shirt come out of the dryer damp, hang to dry, and still be full of wrinkles. Launders like a linen shirt, not the usual easy care of seersucker.
Too bad, since it fits and is comfortable but is too high maintenance for casual summer shirt, and would not pack well or be good for traveling.
Bring back the easy care seersucker shirt!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Goldenoldieplus Caution - label
This shirt comes with the dreaded neck label. The label is not shown in the website picture. It reads "TRADTIONAL FIT" - whatever that means.
I avoid shirts with these labels because they itch and irritate my neck.
The shirt itself is lightweight, cool, and comfortable. I'd probably give it 5 stars without the label.
