Rated 4 out of 5 by timothyLandside Tall size still a bit to big
For starters, I'm 6'5, 185lbs. I bought the Large-Tall hoping it would be long enough without being to bulky.
The sleeves and shoulders were perfect (I'm a 42L with a 36/37 in. sleeve) but the jacket was still too big in the chest and waist.
Iv' decided to keep it because the price is a steal, and the quality is equal to, if not better than the 3 other fleece jackets I own. I know most people aren't as thin as me, but thought this review might be helpful to some of you tall and lanky guys out there.
The jacket has some great features, like the added length in the back, and the draw chord hem. I also really like the stiff collar, which does a great job keeping the draft out. The material is thick, and does a great job blocking the wind, but its softer than some of the other windproof fleeces i'v owned in the past. I'm excited to wear this once the weather gets colder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MidwestJake Supreme quality and warmth
I just received my polar fleece jacket today and it proves that the shipping estimate day is accurate and speedy. I immediately tried this on, even though its 95 degrees outside. It is the warmest and softest jacket I have ever worn and I can tell by the features that it will withstand a lot of abuse. the zip ties at the bottom of the hem work wonders to enclose the jacket so that air does not get through. The fit (which most reviewers are looking for) on me was perfect. I am 6' 3" at about 170 pounds( I am quite slim but have some broad shoulders and a bit of muscle) and found no areas of the jacket that didn't fit. The sleeves were an acceptable length, the body was not too large so that I looked like a potato sack, and the neck was not too constrictive. I am considering getting another one of these in black so that I might keep one in the car and one at home. The red is my original purchase and is beautiful. Get you one!

I bought this for my husband, which is something he hates me to do, and he absolutely loved it. He wears it all the time. It is perfect for 15 degree to 65 degree weather (which is not as cold as it gets here).
He loves it for travel. Also, the zip pockets are nice and secure for money and cell phone.

A fleece jacket that keeps the wind out and stops light rain from soaking through is a winner. Washes up well; I line dry it and it looks like it did when I first got it.

This jacket rocks.
I was looking for a base layer to wear under my shell skiing and this jacket was perfect.
I also use it to commute to work in winter here in NYC. It breathes so well, and yet blocks the wind, resulting in the perfect outer layer to ride into Manhattan across Brooklyn bridge, and get to work without saturating my shirt with sweat as my other wind blocking cycling specific jacket from Garneau does.
Combined with a wicking shirt (dri-fit for me) this jacket was super comfortable on a 9 mile ride. On my return trip the weather had dropped 15 degrees, so I added a light wool sweater and was toasty all the way home.
Not the most fitting cut of a jacket, especially around the waist/middle, but we all know LL Bean tends to run boxy anyway, and for the price the performance is outstanding.

Very comfortable, lightweight, and warm. I wear this as a fall jacket and for mild winter days. I've worn it in the rain and snow and the water resistant material on the shoulders holds up perfectly. I'm about 5'7" 140 and I got the medium, which fits perfectly. I think the small might have been OK, but a little tight, and I like to have a little space. My wife has the purple one (I have the black) and we love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by mwendle comfortable, windproof, warm, great fit
I tried this jacket in 23 degree weather with a sweater vest for a layer and in 18 degree weather with a crew neck sweatshirt. Both days had a wind of about 12 mph. Both times I was warm & comfortable. I am 6'1", 160 lbs and the medium tall fits well. A bargain to boot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by VermontDad Function, not fashion.
This jacket is very functional for hiking, camping, snowshoeing, and even spring skiing. It's warm and does a good job at resisting wind and water. The quality is great considering the price. For me the fit is a little tight around the shoulders and loose in the midsection - so it isn't as fashion worthy as some other products.

I've been wearing 200 polar fleece for a few years now. My best recollection, among many, was when I dumped my canoe into cold Algonquin Park waters. When I finally got ashore, I was able to ring the sweater out, and wear it damp. It still kept me warm, plus it dried out with body/sun heat in about an hour. Great product.

I bought a Dark Royal Blue color and wore it out in a cold wind the first day that I had it.Stops the wind very, very well. Warm, well made, stylish. I liked it so much I then bought another, a black one. Very nice jacket.
