My extremely picky 3 year old son chose these. He wears them constantly. So far they are supportive and seem to be well made. At first, they were a bit of challenge to get on his feet, but they have stretched and slip on easier. Worth the price!

My son has wide feet and I could hardly get these on. Once I did I realized his toe was at the very end, so they were too small anyway. They are great shoes and with LL Beans guarantee I bet they really would have held up to 3 year old boy daily abuse. Wish they came in a wide width. We returned them but I would recommend them if your child doesn't have chunky feet like mine.

Did not fit - could not get shoes on. His LL Beam summer sandals are size 8 and still fit fine.

I carefully measured my son's feet before ordering these shoes. According to both the size chart and his current shoe size, he should have been able to wear a size 6. After reading the reviews and seeing the comments about these shoes running small, I decided to order a size up so I got the 7.
When the shoes arrived the quality looked good, but I struggled to get the first shoe on his foot. It barely fit. I couldn't even get the other shoe on at all. I had to return them and I don't want to take a gamble and order the size 8...I'm afraid it might be too small as well.
I'm sure it's a problem with these particular shoes because I bought a pair of the Toddlers' Northwoods Boots in size 7 at the same time. They fit beautifully with a little room to grow into.

These are a great shoe. I purchased them for my 4 year old granddaughter. The sales person was very knowledgeable and helpful in getting the right fit. The shoes are great, they are easy for her to put on herself and comfortable on her feet.

Tearianna Disappointing Quality
I bought these for my son to wear to kindergarten, and they looked nice and were a great fit. But after only 3 days, they are fraying noticeably along the edges of both shoes. Not only do they look bad, I can't imagine they will hold together much longer. I would have expected much better quality from LLBean. I will be returning these.

I purchased these for my 18 month old because he is constantly running around the woods and other rough terrain with his 4yo sister. He needed more protection than a basic sneaker.
I am very happy with these and a good price. They are a bit stiff, but I think that is the nature of a hiking shoe, but my little guy runs around just fine in them. I do feel better when he is wearing these and climbing on rocks and running through dirt.
I did have to return for a bigger size. They seem to run small and no half sizes. The size up works because its a cushiony/snug fit and we should get a longer run out of these before he grows out them.
This was a very good buy for us!
