Rated 4 out of 5�by capecod537 Sew in a chin strap I wrote a review this morning, and I gave it a bad review, as in this rainstorm the hat just kept blowing off my head, and I had to mash it down with my hand. So when I came home I wrote to LLBean that it would be good with a chin strap. So I put one in, and the hat is now OK. And Ive added a picture. My previous review has not shown up yet, perhaps as it was not a good one, but this one solves the problem with this hat. So hopefully this one will get published, see photo. November 8, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5�by capecod537 Wont stay on your head, I will sew a chin strap on This is a pretty hat, but the very first, and only, time I wore it in a rainstorm, it blew right off my head before I had even left our yard! The entire walk, I had to be ready to clamp down on it with my hand, so that it wouldn't take off and fly away. It needs a chin strap, so I will sew one onto it today, easily done, will take me about 5 minutes, as that will be the only way it can be worn outdoors. November 8, 2012

This hat looks so cute that my husband [who often teases me about my hats] commented that it looked really good. It packs beautifully. It serves two very important functions for me. First, I walk four miles every morning, regardless of the weather, listening to my IPhone using my Bang and Olafson earbuds. Any water in my earbuds would ruinn this expensive product. The hat keps them completely dry even in heavy rain. Second, although the hat fits perfectly, it is sufficiently thin and flexible that it fits over my favorite summer small straw hats. Thus, I can go out wearing a fashionable hat but cover it safely if it begins to rain and then remove it when the rain stops. I just ordered two more on sale in different colors. April 30, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5�by Feng Rain Hat I love this hat - it is very comfortable. Usually hats are too small for me, but this one is fine. It has a larger than usual brim which keeps off the rain. It will be perfect for golf (I am a golfer). I bought red and it is a great colour. The item is a little costly although I notice it has now been reduced. However a useful item like this could well last indefinitely. March 2, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5�by Loftyshoe Does the job I bought this hat to match a black LLB 3/4 length H2O raincoat that is a couple of years old. Matches far better than expected despite the age of the coat...which tells me that LLB clearly uses good material that doesn't fade as much as others. The hat is true to size and doesn't make my head sweat even when it's a rainy day loaded with humidity. Bonus points for that. Gotta be honest and say that I could do without the snap fastener (not removable) that allows you to roll it up neatly, but that's minor compared to the comfort and 'breathability' of the hat. February 29, 2012
