They're ok...run a little small (length) though...they take a little to get broken in

Rated 5 out of 5 by BrooklynHiker11201 Well made, light weight
I ordered these and the Gore-tex to compare, thinking I would probably keep the Gore-tex. The Keens were much more comfortable (I ordered 1/2 size larger as recommended) and much lighter ( about 5 oz. per boot). Since I intend to we're these in southern China this summer comfort in heat was most important.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Robbie1969 Very Comfy
Just got these this week and immediately went for a quick hike up Chauncey Peak in Meriden. These Keen Hikers were very comfortable right out of the box and were a good fit. So far I would highly recommend these. Worth the money!

Very light weight but sturdy hiking boot. As is true of all Keen products- super comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by plragr Great boot
Having barely owned them for two weeks these boots have been everything that they were described to be. warm, comfortable to walk in on trail and stone. They are not the most comfortable for just standing around in as a teacher at a chalk board. very comfortable and dry. the arch is not as pronounced as the description detailed. I was able to combat that problem with a Blue foot-bed from Birkenstock. Other than the arch issue I highly recommend these boots to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by GeoC Heel cup is unsatisfactory
I got the boots and checked the heel cup, and returned them without even trying them on. To my dismay the stitching in the center of the heel cup was very prominent and coarse. For one who does a lot hiking in hills (ups and downs), the abrasion from the stitching on my heels, even with medium weight socks with liners, is a very serious injury issue for me. I spoke with a LLBean product representative who was very helpful. He recommended the LLBean Cresta Hikers which have very thin stitching in the heel cup. I have two cresta hikers boots and can attest to the thin stitching. The Keen boots (I have other Keen products which I love) have a very protruding stitching pattern. I read a few of the reviews on these boots and found no comments on this issue. I am not bad mouthing Keen products, but for me this boot does not work. For those of you who have similar issues with heel abrasions, I hope that this review is helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by activeoutdoorolderlady well made
Another good Keen product - fit is as stated, very comfortable - right out of the box. Perfect for people needing wide toe area, great arch support and walking stability. Shoe is surprisingly light in weight. Glad LL Bean carries them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Behtash Super Slippery on ice!
I got these boots for daily use in winter. They're warm, durable and waterproof, but super slippery on ice. I'm thinking about returning them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanMick Just what I needed
As I age, my feet are more sensitive, and full-foot support is critical. These hikers are great. My daughter (in Alaska) recommended Keens for comfort. She and her family hike a lot! I took her advice and headed for Bean's in Freeport.
The salesman was helpful and patient.
I'm a happy camper...I mean hiker!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lemmon Very Nice...if somewhat warm
Definitely sure footed, definitely water proof,
First time hiking with them went about 3 miles. After some initial getting used to them, they performed very well. I did notice that they were a little warm while waiting to get started..once we were moving I noticed it less. I'd say the waterproofing / breathability leans more toward water proof. If you are looking for something highly breathable these may not be the absolute best but they fit so well and perform very well on rocks adn in water they are well worth it
