Jeans are well made of heavy non stretch denim, seams tightly sewn however; the waist is small I had some trouble inserting the waist button thru the tight loop I will probably appreciate this pair on my upcoming Alaskan trip but for now they'll sit in the closet waiting for a mountain adventure

I bought 2 pair of these jeans in tan and blue denim. I wear a a solid size 8. The denim are a slightly tighter fit then the tan. But I wear both pair all winter long and into spring. They are sooo comfortable and they don't make me look too thin.

I'm 5"7 and curvy, I weigh a little under 200 pounds.
Even after looking at all the bad reviews I still bought it. I went one size up and it still dosen't fit, the legs were to baggy but the waist was SO tight. I couldn't sit, the rise was TOO high.
DON'T buy, look somewhere else.
Quality was good but that doesn't matter if you can't wear them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShadowMaker86 Perfect for Iowa Weather
I bought my first pair almost 6 years ago. This time I bought 3 pairs of Comfort waist. I love the comfort waist much better. I wear these when I visit my daughter in Iowa. It got down to zero with wind chill of minus 20 and I was comfortable loading my vehicle for my trip back home to Florida. If I was going to be out in the weather for any length of time I would certainly recommend wearing something underneath. I love these jeans and will certainly buy more because I make many trips up there and plan to wear them all them time I am there in the winter.

Bought a pair the end of September and love them - fit good and so warm. Wanted a 2nd pair and ordered them in same size. Second pair feels like a half-size smaller. The 2 pairs have different web numbers, but they are the identical jeans and both are made in Mexico. Hoping the 2nd pair will stretch a bit.

I purchased these jeans a few years ago in size 20, the waist was OK, but the butt and thighs were very baggy, from the waist to the crotch it nearly reached my knees. I had them tailored, and I still wasn't able to wear them.
I give LLBean a BIG thank-you, because they returned them for me and allowed me to order another style, which fit much better.
I wish clothes manufactures would realize that just because a person's size increases, their legs, arms, and distance from waist to crotch doesn't increase as well.

I wanted to like these, I wanted the flannel lined warmth. But the thighs were so large i could have fit both my legs in them. I now wear size 16, and purchased the comfort waist because I no longer have a tiny waist and the regular waist jeans are too tight in the waist. The "comfort " waist was stiff and poked me ( very uncomfortable) and the butt was snug ( I have an average size butt) So i reluctantly returned them. If the thighs were smaller, the butt a little roomier and the regular waist a little larger I could try again, they might actually fit well enough to keep. I have other LLbean pants in size 16 that fit pretty well, so it's the shape of these jeans that is off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Harpsichord Plus sizes offer no varieties with inseams
One inseam does not fit all. I'm limited if I want to wear my pants to tucking them into a pair of wide top pair of boots or walking around looking like there's a flood coming. I'm still disappointed that L.L. Bean does not offer us additional inseams. Men have a variety of inseams available, I guess it's just OK for men to have long legs. The button is difficult out of the wash, but it does get easier throughout the day. If you have shorter than 30 inch legs these will be perfect for you. However, if you have a 32 to 34 inch inseam and need a plus size... Not so much!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hatu48 warm winter jeans
I've bought several lined (fleece and flannel) LL Bean jeans over the past 15 years: they've all worn and washed/dried wonderfully, no shrinkage but also no hot water or hot dryer. My last ones were these jeans. The button was tight in buttonhole so I snipped the buttonhole slightly larger and reinforced that end with a few stitches. The length is right on for me so if you want to roll them get the 'tall' length. The comfort waist adds about 1 1/2" of stretch.
My favorite pair were lined canvas pants, fit/looked better; not so bulky nor such a high waist; the crotch depth has seemed to lengthen over the years. Would love to buy those pants again since I wore out mine playing/working in the snow/mud/rain.

I ordered the flannel-lined dark indigo comfort waist jeans. They were quite baggy in the seat and thigh and NOT what I would call a "dark indigo." More like the "faded" color for unlined jeans. So don't expect a dark color. Made in Mexico. I'm 5'4" and the regular length was WAY too long, even for roll up. I'll exchange them for a petite length and the straight leg slightly fitted through hip and thigh jeans. Hope that will fit better. They should be OK for cold days.
