I wanted to like these, I wanted the flannel lined warmth. But the thighs were so large i could have fit both my legs in them. I now wear size 16, and purchased the comfort waist because I no longer have a tiny waist and the regular waist jeans are too tight in the waist. The "comfort " waist was stiff and poked me ( very uncomfortable) and the butt was snug ( I have an average size butt) So i reluctantly returned them. If the thighs were smaller, the butt a little roomier and the regular waist a little larger I could try again, they might actually fit well enough to keep. I have other LLbean pants in size 16 that fit pretty well, so it's the shape of these jeans that is off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Harpsichord Plus sizes offer no varieties with inseams
One inseam does not fit all. I'm limited if I want to wear my pants to tucking them into a pair of wide top pair of boots or walking around looking like there's a flood coming. I'm still disappointed that L.L. Bean does not offer us additional inseams. Men have a variety of inseams available, I guess it's just OK for men to have long legs. The button is difficult out of the wash, but it does get easier throughout the day. If you have shorter than 30 inch legs these will be perfect for you. However, if you have a 32 to 34 inch inseam and need a plus size... Not so much!

I've bought several lined (fleece and flannel) LL Bean jeans over the past 15 years: they've all worn and washed/dried wonderfully, no shrinkage but also no hot water or hot dryer. My last ones were these jeans. The button was tight in buttonhole so I snipped the buttonhole slightly larger and reinforced that end with a few stitches. The length is right on for me so if you want to roll them get the 'tall' length. The comfort waist adds about 1 1/2" of stretch.
My favorite pair were lined canvas pants, fit/looked better; not so bulky nor such a high waist; the crotch depth has seemed to lengthen over the years. Would love to buy those pants again since I wore out mine playing/working in the snow/mud/rain.

I ordered the flannel-lined dark indigo comfort waist jeans. They were quite baggy in the seat and thigh and NOT what I would call a "dark indigo." More like the "faded" color for unlined jeans. So don't expect a dark color. Made in Mexico. I'm 5'4" and the regular length was WAY too long, even for roll up. I'll exchange them for a petite length and the straight leg slightly fitted through hip and thigh jeans. Hope that will fit better. They should be OK for cold days.

These jeans were a great fit. However, thought they were a little baggy in the legs. Length was good. Waist was good. I am 5-7.5 and 140 lbs. The sz 10 was perfect. i sent them back because I found another jeans that fit better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by celest The absolute best
Got my lined (beige) jeans today. When I took them out of the package, I could feel the beautiful soft rich quality of both the denim and the flannel lining--heavy and wonderful. Only Bean can offer pants of this caliber.
An 8 tall (for rolling up the cuffs) fit comfortably. I'm 5"7, 130 pounds, and a solid size eight in most pants.
The button was not a problem. These jeans look and feel like they will last a lifetime. I do not believe that there are any other pants which can compare to these in terms of warmth, comfort and appearance. I will order another pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Momilyy bit of a baggy butt
As always, I love LLBean's jeans; they have nice roomy pockets [I hate skimpy pockets!] and just feel well made. In this relaxed-fit pair the butt seemed a bit baggy, so I'm sending them back. The slim-leg weren't quite so baggy so I'll keep those instead. The flannel lining felt really nice and cozy. I love you cousin. We're all cousins you know.

The Flannel Lined Blue Jeans are a great fit and great price. I am very happy with the relaxed fit of the blue jeans. I am hard to please and hard to fit because of my small frame. The fit is perfect. The only issue is with the sizing chart. The size recommended for my waist would have been too big. i ordered the sitze I usually wear (6 petite) in regular jeans and they are a perfect fi. I wasn't able to go by the sizing chart provided or they would have been to large.I have a 29-30 inch waist the recommended size was a 10. Glad I didn't go by the chart.

These jeans are warm, heavy and unattractive, and I love them. I read other reviews of the lined jeans and decided to go with the comfort waist in my normal size 10, but in tall rather than regular in order to roll the cuffs. I figured I'd stay with my normal size and sacrifice a sleeker waist in order to not have the hips and thighs balloon out too much if I sized up, as other reviewers had commented. It worked -- the comfort waist is livable with the elastic, and the rise could easily be two inches lower and feel far more comfortable when seated, but again, it's livable. Even in my normal size, the thighs and hips are roomy, and that's a first for me, because I'm a runner and have very athletic thighs. All this being said, these jeans are what they are and definitely deliver in terms of warmth and protection and that's why I bought them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JeanSP What's going on with sizing?
Ordered these because I wanted flannel-lined jeans in a colour besides blue. Ordered my regular size 14 - They literally fell off when I tried them on, so I sent them back and ordered size 12. They were roomy, but I figured if I washed them and put them through the dryer they would be OK.
Even with that, the front rise is almost too long and the back seam cuts up into the derriere. Also, after wearing them for 1/2 an hour, the waist seemed to have stretched out and they were hanging off my hips. I don't want to spend nearly $20 on postage to send these back again, so I guess I have to figure out how to alter them so I can actually wear them.
I had the sizing problem with the blue LL jeans, too-- ordered my usual 14, then exchanged for a size 12 - I can barely zip the 12's up.
