Rated 5 out of 5 by tloveanimals Just the right warmth
Wanted something between a windbreaker and heavy jacket. This is a wonderful warm well made jacket where I don't have to wear 4 layers to stay warm. We have been to Arizona and New Mexico in February and would have loved to have this jacket at that time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TitusPullo7 Fleece lined warm up jacket
I purchased this jacket once before in a smaller size and found the Medium to be too snug. Usually, a Med. has been my standard size but not in this case. I then purchased the Large size and it fits just fine with ample room around chest and waist. I am 5.8" and around 170#,and the Larrge is just right.
I bought this in the late spring, so will wait for fall to really put it to use. However, fit and quality of construction are good and the fleece lining should be just about right for Pac. NW fall and winter weather.
I got this on a 10% discount promo so the price was almost an offer I couldn't refuse.

Rated 4 out of 5 A warm, dry jacket
This is my second LL Bean Warm-Up Jacket. I use it for cold, rainy or snowy weather. My size large is a relaxed fit, with room for a fleece or sweater underneath. The quality is exemplary, with no manufacturing flaws noted. My only complaint is that the stomach region is huge--the fit should be slightly more tailored below the chest. For me, the jacket provides good-looking weatherproof cover for temperatures from around freezing up to the low 50-degree range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by travellllller Wife vs Husband review
I love it. I think it is very comfortable. It is true to size. It is warm and great at keeping out the cold air and wind. If anything ever happens to it I will buy it again without hesitation.
Wife- I am not a fan of how it looks on him. It is a very basic design for a coat and not what I would call "fashionable." (but he could care less- he is all about function)
It makes rustling sounds when he moves his arms because the arm material is rubbing against the body of the coat. It drives me crazy when he is near me and making lots of movement because of the rustling sound.
The coat washes up really well and looks exactly the same as it did the day it arrived. It does seem to be a very quality made coat.
I am happy that he found a coat that he likes and he finds very warm and functional- but I could do without the rustling noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lovinblue Just as advertised. Great quality.
The jacket arrived just when scheduled. The color is beautiful, the quality of material and workmanship is wonderful. The jacket is light
weight, but, still warm. Good buy.

Rated 2 out of 5 well made but noisy shell
This jacket had a quality zipper and a nice lining. I returned it for two reasons. I am tall and thin. The xlarge was too large and the large had too short of arms for me.
The other reason is the shell is a stiff nylon that makes a lot of noise when you move your arms. I would find that annoying. So, this jacket was not a good choice for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by GypsyBoy Much Too HOT and Sweaty
Excellent looks, fit and nice zippered pockets, but I can't believe more people haven't mentioned how HOT the jacket becomes in a short amount of time. The insulation doesn't "breathe" so my arms become soaked with perspiration after even a mild 15-20 minute walk. This makes the jacket unwearable for me. I know there's a flannel option, but it looks like a "working in the barn" jacket. Please, LL Bean, improve the suffocating insulation in the sleeves and body. I've never had this problem with any other jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CH11 Solid, Warm - but crinkly
The jacket is warm, fits well, and seems well constructed. My only complaint is that it is "crinkly" - the nylon outer shell (presumably for water resistance) makes a "crinkling" sound when it flexes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rick259g only flaw is no inside pockets
This is an excellent quality jacket - keeps me warm and dry except on the coldest of days. Only flaw for me personally is that there's no inside pockets for a cell phone or wallet. Other than that, one of my favorite jackets for spring and fall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by centralMN Excellent early spring / fall coat
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this coat. It was exactly what I was looking for, something wind resistant and warm on those days where it's not cold enough for a winter coat yet not warm enough to go without. I like that they included a zippered pocket by the upper chest, just inside of the zippered front. This works out great for a cell phone. Overall this is a very warm and wind resistant jacket and seems to be made with good quality materials and workmanship. The sizes seem to run true as my normal large fits as my other coats and jackets do.
I would highly recommend this coat.
