I bought this to walk the dog in the dark. High, low settings are bright and adjustable angling makes for perfect viewing comfort. I know I'll use it everyday for one job or another for hands free lighting. Bonus flash function great for emergencies. Getting one for most on my Christmas list. Great low price.

I had the worst trouble getting the battery compartment open. This is a very poor design. Look at the others before you buy this one.

I purchased this item for my niece as we were attending an overnight at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC. She wore it comfortably throughout most of the night. It especially came in handy when the children were participating in a fossil scavenger hunt in the dark. Great sturdy product and fun design.

Got this for my two year old. Fits him well and will expand for years to come. Great starter headlamp. A little heavier than i wanted for him...but as a starter...it will be just fine.

I bought this for my grandson. He likes being outdoors at night in the summer. Now, I can see where he is. The best part is his hands are free, unlike a flashlight.

My granddaughters (ages 9 and 5) loved the headlamps! They provide great light, are comfortable, and cute! But, when we were taking the battery cover off the one the screw metal was so "soft" we couldn't unscrew it. We contacted LLBean and they replaced the headlamp without any concern. So, be cautioned when you attempt to unscrew and then tighten, the metal in the screw is "soft?" and may get ruined.

I purchased 3 of these headlamps for Christmas gifts for my grandchildren - I didn't bother to read any of the reviews, because I just relied on the outstanding products that I have always purchased from LL Bean. What a mistake! Unfortunately, I didn't open the packages to insert the batteries before giving them to the children....needless to say, we could not find a small-enough screwdriver to open the battery door. The kids were so disappointed, and so was I. To make matters worse, in our desperate attempt to open the battery door, we stripped the little screw! :(
Note to manufacturer ----- if you are going to all that trouble to include a battery door that is immune to 'little hands' - then PLEASE include a screwdridriver!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The screw for battery insert would not open so a very disappointed little girl. The others I ordered were Ok though hence 3 stars.

This was a fun gift for 4 little grandchildren 3.4.4.and 7. I bought four. However, with one, I found that the very tiny screws needed to be unscrewed to put in the batteries were stripped and I could not use the light . In a panic I ordered another light and got it just in time.

This was great for my 8 yr. old grandson! On Christmas morning he wore it so he could more easily assemble his Lego toys he had received. Now he's really looking forward to wearing it camping with his dad, who also has one.
