These booties are wonderfully constructed, and they fit my English Setter well. However, my feeling is that these boots are not meant for field work. Maggie took off running, and came back in just a moment with the boots turned upside down (soles on top)! I was really hoping that they would work, since she happens to be allergic to grasses (awful for a bird dog). In my opinion, this item should be removed from all hunting categories/catalogs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DRBacon He seems to like them
These booties work great with our Lab. They go on easy and haven't come off. They seem to be comfortable. He never chews on them or tries to get them off.
We use them when we are on our property in northern Arizona. The property has very steep rocky terrain requiring considerable climbing.
He has no problem walking, running, jumping or climbing in these booties.
Our lab weighs between 60 and 70 pounds and the small size fit him perfect.

These boots save my Brittany's tender pads on the rough rocky terrain where we hunt birds in Northern Arizona. These boots also save her pads in the winter on our walks and runs between snowfalls in Flagstaff. My Brittany does not particularly care for the boots, but I am certain she would scorn other boots as well. We lost one boot in the snow last winter, prompting me to purchase a complete new set in order to maintain the old boots as replacements because these boots are pricey whether you purchase single boots or a complete set. I periodically check the boots to ensure they are still secure when my Brittany wears these boots for long periods. The boots will also rotate, with the sole moving off the dog's pads and over to one side or the other. I check the placement of the boots' soles when I check the Velcro strap securing the boot to my Brittany's feet. One last thought, my Brittany's gait changes when she wears the boots. Please keep this in mind if your canine companion has hip or joint issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MomofBailey These shoes are GOLDEN!
We have a Golden who drags her back toes and grinds her nails. These shoes are perfect. She's on her third pair, but they're pretty durable. Seem to be comfortable for her, too.
THESE RUN LARGE Bailey is 65 pounds and wears size Small.

Cute & sturdy - unfortunately I have a Bichon Frise and even the x-small is too large. I haven't sent them back because he's a puppy & only 12 weeks so I'm hopeful he'll be able to wear them someday because he hates to get his feet wet & when it's raining, getting him outside is tough!

Our yellow lab has a problem walking on our wood floors, he's afraid of slipping and falling. But with these booties, he proudly walks around with no problem. Crazy dog. He loves his booties. They are very well made, and hold up to his chewing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JudyAnnME Great Fit and Quality
I read the reviews before purchasing this item. Actually I bought two sets as we have two dogs. The quality is outstanding and the old saying "you get what you pay for" applies to this product. I am including the sizes purchased in this review as I did find other reviews helpful when they included the size purchased for their pets. Size XS fits our 20 pound Cocker Spaniel and S fits our 50 pound Golden Retriever.

These seem to run a little big. The large would not stay on a full sized golden retriever, male. We have reordered in medium in hopes that they work better. The dog certainly didn't like them at first but seem to be ok wearing them inside while we tried them, once he got used to them. Worth trying smaller size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by wintersnows Different paw shape
We love these booties BUT they are not the right fit for our puppy's paws. Her legs are very thin and long and her paws are also thin long as well as wide. The booties are not the right fit for her shape but their concept and quality are amazing! We would need longer thinner front toes space, wider more open middle footprint, and then much taller backing to go further up her leg closing. She can have these on but they are too short and roll around or get tossed off because of the place where they close and tighten on her leg. She is a poodle-lab mix with wicked long legs. We have been trying "Musher's Secret" instead and that wax is helping keep her pads healthy. Many thanks for asking us to review, we wish they had worked they look awesome!

My oldest dog is in the early stages of degenerative myelopathy and is dragging his hind paws. He has to wear the booties to protect his claws from the scraping and this is the only set I have found that didn't wear out after just 2 walks. He is on his third week and they are as good today as they were when he first started wearing them. My only rec is it would be nice if there were two straps vs one just to keep them more secure on his paws.
