Compared to the solid weight of my SPY sunglasses these are kind of light and flimsy. They are a bit loose and am concerned while biking they may fall off if I look down, so I'll have to use a cord. I am keeping them for reading outside though but not thrilled with this purchase.

Great idea for us older guys that do not want to carry readers all the time. The sunglasses work great and fit great but the bifocal feature is the best idea of all.

Loved the style of these sunglasses. The fact that they are bifocals is what attracted me to them. They are priced well too. Unfortunately I had to return them because they were too large and kept sliding off every time I looked down The sporty feel I was looking for is why I gave this a four star. I regret that I couldn't keep them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Walter46 Great for biking
I purchased these primarily for biking. I had had a previous LL Bean pair of sunglasses without the bifocal insert, and they were great. These are as well. Full peripheral vision, easy to read the odometer with the bifocal, and can use them to read a newspaper when stopping for coffee. The fit around the nose keeps all wind away from the eyes. Are slightly bigger fir than previous pair.

VERY happy with item. Fit great - stay in place comfortably even while running, and built in 'cheaters' so no more constantly switching to reading glasses when checking the guidebook or taking photos. Bought especially for travel - use daily in my regular life, too!

Rated 2 out of 5 by NHBargainHunter A bit too big for me
I ordered medium in the tortoise/brown and they were a bit too big for me. I returned them to an outlet store, no problem. While there I found the more expensive polarized performance bifocals in small, normally $99, but marked down as a returned item for $69. The outlet had a whole rack of these. Wish I had gone there first.
Honestly, as an athletic middle age female, I prefer the look and comfort of the performance model, with its grippy earpiece. The zephyr may be a bit lighter but even if I had the smaller size, I don't think it's as nice or well made.

these glasses are certainly dark enough to block heavy sunshine, the fit is snug, and the bifocals are handy for reading.

Bought these for bicycling so that I could read the computer (speed, heart rate, elevation etc) without my prescription glasses. Performance was beyond expectations and far better than my first attempt at low cost "sport bifocals." Comfortable and functional. A great pair of glasses.

I was in the market for new sun-glasses and the store clerk at LL Bean noticed that I wore readers to read the advertisements on other sunglass brands. She recommended that I try a pair of these bifocal's and was this a huge surprise for me. Upon examination I found that they were comfortable and the readers easy to use. I since have been driving and notice that I can read my Garmin GPS easily while driving and all the gages on my vehicle, with have good sun protection at the same time. These sun glasses do provide the protection I need and reduce glare and produce the comfort I need. I highly recommend these to anyone who normally wears readers.

They were recommended by a friend for those who need readers as we get older. Multi purpose, great polarized sunglasses for fishing/watersports, driving and the outdoors. Allows you to see/read when needed. Best buy I have done in a long time.
