Rated 5 out of 5 by 8everly Wingman for this woman
The Wingman is just what I was looking for from a multitool and I am thrilled to have found it. Its heft and size feel good in my small, female hands. Wingman is an apt name indeed; there are practical tools abound on this model. My favorite features are the scissors and knife that are accessible while the tool is closed up. The scissors are spring action (activated when locked into the fully open position) and actually cut well. The knife is sharp; the lower half of it is serrated and the tip half is a straight blade. The lock release for both of these tools is the same type & is easy to depress.
The interior is a cornucopia of instruments. The spring action pliers are effortless, solid and handy (needle-nose, regular and wire stripper in one). The five tools in the handles may be small in size but they're each highly functional. They are a bit stiff to open and the releases for these instruments aren't as easy to depress but I can do both with some effort. When folded up the multitool is compact (about 4 inches long and 1.25 inches wide) but has enough substance that it will make a noticeable sound if you drop it. The belt clip is another helpful feature.
This tool is beautifully engineered, has all metal construction, feels durable and is my personal favorite of the two Leathermans I own (the Fuse is the other one). I had intended to keep the Wingman at my desk at work, so I now want to buy additional ones for my home & car. Friends and family may even get this as gifts this year. :-)
P.S. I love that Leathermans are made in the USA (albeit sometimes with imported parts). This is a well made product and I am proud to support our domestic workers with this purchase!
P.P.S. This multitool is not at all shiny or chrome-like as the studio photo might suggest. The actual texture is a subdued, plain metal, which is much better, in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by caryatid Great tool to keep in the car
I am very pleased with the Leatherman Wingman tool. I plan to keep it in my car. I wish that the scissors had some kind of a spring release so they would be easier to use. Other than that, this tool will come in handy in the future.

I have several knives from Llbean but this is the worst one I have ever used. The tools are hard to open and the quality is just not what I would expect from Llbean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanScoutMom Great for the price!
I realized I needed a tool like this after two Boy Scout camping trips with my son this summer. Pliers - for getting fish hooks out, Can opener for one pot meals, Scissors for cutting twine to lash platform tent sides closed during pouring rain, etc. This Leatherman was much larger and heftier than I expected for the price. I think it will last a long time and be great to have on our next trip.

I have had the mini leatherman for quite awhile and wanted something that would be easier to handle. I had never seen this specific model before and it had all the features I was looking for - pliers, knife, scissors. It has a built in clip on it so I don't have to worry about loosing it out of my pocket outside either. I have had it less than a week and used it three times already. Its very functional. It was easy to compare the different models available on their website and this one had all the features I wanted and more! Would recommend to anyone wanting a little something different than the standard Leatherman tool!

I collect multi tools and Leatherman tools are among my favorites. This new Wingman model doesn't disappoint. I use my multi tools and carry one with me wherever I go. My new Wingman's pliers was pressed into service almost out of the box to aid in the disassembly of a thingamajig I was working on.
