This jacket with hood worked well with snow and wind in Denver.
Looked pretty, my girls all looked like the princess they are.
Fit was good, no problem with zippers were reported.

Good purchase. I bought 4 for grand daughters ages 3 to 7.

My granddaughter loved the jacket. Kept her very warm and was lightweight. Would give this a five star rating except that after having it only about five weeks the zipper broke. Could't fix it. The good thing is I called and LLBean immediately replaced it. Very happy customer.

After owning several LL bean winter coats in the past, although they were all warm, many were ill fitting. By that I mean shorter in the front, bell shaped, and therefore not long enough to protect from cold air sneaking up the front. This is finally a coat that is warm and long enough to cover the belly while not being too long that it is bothersome during winter activities.

I have to first say that we buy all of our kids' coats, snowsuits, gloves - all outerwear - from L.L. Bean because we love the quality of L.L. Bean's products. Their warmth and look are terrific.
I was so excited to receive this jacket and was disappointed when my daughter tried it on. The fit of the coat was just not right. The length of the sleeves was fine and the length of the back was ok, but the front was cut up in an odd way.
Really bummed because it was so cute!
Hopefully Bean will fix it!

My daughter loved this coat, & the print is adorable. However, the zipper teeth broke after a few weeks. LLBean has excellent customer service, & they immediately sent us a replacement. Unfortunately, the zipper had the same issue, and the teeth broke off of the zipper within the first week. So disappointed because this coat is fantastic in all other areas!

I bought the boy version of this coat for my very tall 7 year old - got him the 10-12 size. It is slightly big - can be worn next year - but it is proportionate and looks great. The fit of the girl's coat seems slightly off. I got the 5-6 for my very tall thin 5 year old. The body of the coat was short and boxy - almost cropped - not long and cozy like the boy version. The sleeves, however, were perfect. Trying to make this more than a one season coat, I returned the 5-6 and ordered the 6X-7. The body is much better - covers more of her middle and actually hits at her hips. The arms though are ridiculously long - I can roll them but then the fleece liner sticks out. I probably won't return again since winter is upon us but I wish the girls' coat fit as well as the boys'.

I love LLBean products. This jacket, unfortunately just didn't live up to their typical standards. Everything is great except the zippers. The zippers on both the hood and the front of the jacket have now broken after just one season of use. I'd expect that this might be just a problem with this single jacket except my neighbor across the street has two jackets like this for her girls, and both of those have had zippers break on them too. The zippers are just a substandard quality - the teeth on the zippers literally break off. I hope LLBean is able to fix this problem. If so, these jackets will be definitely a winner.

My daughter has had various LLB winter jackets other than down. They all have performed well. This year we decided to try a down jacket in pink berry, as our winters can be wet and very windy. This jacket is lightweight and warm. The coverage is good. Fleece cuffs on the sleeves are a nice touch. A small mesh/nylon pocket on the inside would hold gloves/mitts. Detachable hood is well-designed with a visor to protect from rain/snow getting in the face. It has elastics on both sides to help keep it on the head when windy, as well as zippers on pockets and a reflective triangle on the back.

ZIPPER IS FINE. NO PROBLEMS, BUILT LIKE ALL LL BEAN QUALITY. SIZE 8 FITS MY AVERAGE 8 YEAR OLD GIRL WITH A LITTLE ROOM FOR WARM CLOTHES UNDER. COLOR IS AWESOME. WE LOVE IT!

Bought for my 6th old. Sizing was good and kept her warm but zipper broke today after having it only about 7 weeks. Luckily they still have her size and are sending a new one because she really likes it. Hoping the new one will stay together at least through the rest of the season. Loved it except for zipper issue
