We just love this jacket - our son is 8 years old. We live in New Jersey. This jacket as been through it all - hours outdoors playing in snow drifts, cold biting winds, and plenty of sledding. Our son has worn this jacket every winter for 3 years. His jacket has worn so well that it still looks new. It has always kept him warm and dry. We're so happy with this jacket, that we're back on the LLBean website today to order him a larger size. We didn't even consider looking elsewhere. We recommend this jacket very highly!

Just recently purchased this jacket for my 12 year old son. We do a lot of hiking around the Catskills Mountain range and last weekend was no different. Did a 6 mile hike on rough terrain in the snow with degrees of 29 F starting off in the early morning, hiking to the top of a waterfall by the afternoon (31 F), then coming back over the mountain by evening. Kept my son warm and even a bit too hot at times. Wish it had pit zips but good jacket for a good price. Should last him for awhile.

It is well made, warm & comfortable. True to size: he is 8 yrs old, usually wears size 8 & this jacket in 8 fits perfectly. Blue color is really nice. Son loves the hood.. it has a stretchy fitted area that blocks the wind around his face without having to tie it shut. And around the waist there's an inner snap to keep cold air from sneaking up his jacket. Worth every cent! Will buy again.

This jacket is fantastic! We took our boys to ski on the Austrian Alps and the boys loved their jackets, as well as all of their LLBean ski gear. They were in a ski school, snow boarding and skiing and the gear held up wonderfully. Weather was well below freezing and non of the boys complained of being cold. The sizes do run a touch short, for example, bought my 7 year old an 8 in the jacket. I also love the LLBean guarantee behind all their products.

I am surprised that this came from LLBean. The quality and craftmanship is exactly what I would expect but the sizing is truely not good. My son is 5.5 and 49inches (so very tall for his age). I bought him the Boys size 8 (he wear size 7 pants and shirts pretty much everywhere else) I was thinking that it would make a great coat for Christmas and into next year. Since it is a Christmas present I have not tried it on him yet but I did line it up with a size 5 coat from The Childrens place and it is only slightly longer in the body and 4inches longer in the sleeves. I suspect that this coat will be too short in the body and too long in the sleeves for my son but again its a Christmas present so I will keep you posted... Overall not thrilled because I am 90% sure it will need to be returned and the size 10 would be way to large.

My son loves this jacket. It's nice and warm and perfect for our New England winters. He especially loves the thumb holes. Last year he used the LLBean jacket that has 2 layers -- hated it because the layers kept twisting in the arms. This one doesn't have that problem and I like the look of it better too.

Love this coat for 7yo boy. He loves the way it looks and feels and I love the quality and warmth it provides. It's a bit big, we ordered the 8, but my son is fairly small. I'm sure I'll get 2 seasons out of it. Highly recommend.

I purchased the Boys' Mogul Jumper Jacket for my 6 year-old, 50 inch tall son in the size 8 small and couldn't be happier. The quality of the jacket is amazing, sewn extremely well and very warm but not bulky. There is cozy fleece lining in all the right places like the jacket cuffs, the zipper is very sturdy and I like the elastic in the hood, not too tight but just right so that the hood stays on. The sizing is perfect for my son, plenty of room to grow in the sleeves and jacket length so that he will be able to wear it next year. LL Bean coats are worth every penny. We learned our lesson with cheap jackets, zippers always breaking and wear and tear. Not with LL Bean!!

I purchased this jacket for my 11 y.o. son who is extremely picky on his clothes. We looked at the jacket online together to make sure he's ok with the red color jacket since that's the only color left for his size. He normally does not like red but somehow he's ok with this jacket (maybe he thinks that boy model wearing the red jacket online really looks cool!) My son tried the jacket on when it arrived and it fits him very well. We have not tried that jacket in the snow yet since there hasn't been any snow yet in NY this winter! But both the style and the quality of this jacket are very good so we are keeping this jacket.

I watched my grandson use this jacket snowboarding this weekend. It looked very nice, was lightweight and kept him warm. A very nice purchase.
