Rated 3 out of 5 by Gary5 Light, comfortable, fairly warm, not durable
These gloves are light and very comfortable. They're pretty warm, but not as warm as I hoped. The Bean down jacket keeps me warm in 10-15 degree colder temperatures. That would be okay, but I've only owned these gloves two months and a seam has opened on one of the thumbs.

Would think with these gloves having goose/ down fill, they would be warm. Not even close. My fingers froze in a very short time. Very dissapointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Aratoon Light, comfortable, waterproof and very practical
I have tried a number of goose down gloves for cold winter walks with my dog. I found the one described above the best.
I have bought these gloves about 1-2 years ago and I bought another pair recently.

I bought these for my husband for Christmas and bought a pair for myself as well. I had to give them to him early as we had a cold snap and some snow. He loves them, definitely some of the best gloves I've ever had!

Rated 5 out of 5 by HSJIII Warm, Flexible, Good Value
I'm pleased with these gloves. They are warm without creating sweat, flexible, appear to be durable. My experience is that the sizing runs to the small side so I went one size up. And they are a good value!

Right out of the package used gloves in 33 degree temp to drive to the store and instantly my fingers got cold and never warmed up. Not my idea of how the top rated down should perform. Two stars for looks and shipping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Servant01 Comfortable but not warm enough for me.
The fit was a little awkward for me, because I have such large hands and knuckles. Furthermore, they did not keep my hands warm enough. I guess, I am just too cold natured in the cold weather.

Gloves are light and seem well built but you will have trouble gripping items with your fingers. They could use some grip padding on the finger tips.

For the price these are good gloves-- these are not 150 dollar gloves so you should not expect them to perform like a higher priced glove-- but for the price they seem to be well constructed and adequately insulated. I have very cold hands, there probably isn't a glove in the world that will keep my hands warm in cold weather and I don't expect these will either- these are my 15F-30F gloves... if you don't have my hand problem you will do better.
I have had no problem driving with these gloves as some have mentioned-- they are not driving gloves but not slippery to any large degree. I will say they do fit snuggly and if you are near the border size in one category I would consider jumping to the next size unless you want tight fitting gloves. Otherwise, for the money, these are a good buy in my opinion.

The down gloves have a fair amount of insulation and while I've only tested them in 20-degree weather, they appear to work well and without cold spots due to pinching the down insulation (happens on thumbs on many gloves). The wrist is sized a bit bigger but that happens to work perfectly with the Bean Men's Ultralight 850 Down Jacket because the pair overlap making a nice seal against the cold.
The lining is a very smooth fleece-like fabric that easily slips on and off without binding. Each finger, including my thumbs are coddled in cushy down. The clip fastener will help keep them together and even allows you to hang them on a coat hook for storage. I usually wear a large glove and the size large fits good with some extra room to trap warm air for insulation.
These are not work gloves and I don't plan to use them for shoveling snow because wet down is useless and they are not made for hard use. However, the black fabric looks great and I'm happy to have them to wear with the 850 down jacket because lightweight insulation is the way to go for movement and comfort.
