Rated 3 out of 5 by WAF207 Nice pair of work gloves there's no doubt.
But they tend to become soggy after awhile while out shoveling or snow blowing and they don't insulate well when there wet. If you are buying these as winter gloves for able removal I would look elsewhere.

I purchased a pair of these last year for winter snow removal. It was a good move. Had to shovel at least twice a week for 3 months. The gloves held up to the vigors of this work with a minimal of wear. The best thing about the gloves however was the comfortable fit. Inner seams did not hurt my fingers. Bought the second pair just to be certain I have a good pair of gloves if the first pair doesn't last a second winter. But, I am betting they will...

these are great looking gloves for sure. I bought the large gloves but they are tight on my hands. I believe that is the cause of my hands freezing in them after about 1/2 hour in 10 degree fahrenheit weather. I only give them a fair 2 star rating.

Great gloves and holding up better than I expected. I meant for these to be non work gloves but am using them daily which includes loading my outdoor woodstove twice a day. Slight wear but way less than expected. I came back to the site to order 2 more pair!

A HIT!!! He works outside a lot and these were a big hit for Christmas!! Warm, and yet flexible enough to work in the cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bml08 Men's Katahdin Iron Works Insulated Work Gloves
Just bought these a few weeks ago. Used them for the first time today during a two-mile hike in the woods and for shoveling a wet snow off the driveway. During the walk, my fingertips didn't get cold at all. During the snow-clearing, they provided a very good, positive grip on the shovel. I was looking around for a good pair of double-duty gloves -- something I could wear on walks & driving, something I could use in the woods and on our property. With just this couple of uses, I'm glad I bought them.

Rated 1 out of 5 Way too small, be warned!
I ordered men's EXTRA LARGE and they are tight to the point of discomfort. I double-checked the tag in each glove and they state Men's XL. Tight gloves certainly don't keep hands warm, as they don't allow air space around the fingers or palms. I am a 5'2" woman with normal sized hands. It's crazy that Men's XL are tight on my hands!
Having said that, I will agree that the gloves are well made, just way, WAY too small! I can't imagine a normal-sized man even being able to get these gloves on.
I am going to return them and order Men's XXL. Maybe they will fit better. Who knows?

The gloves I ordered in a large size and I do have to admit they are tight. Today was the first time I actually wore them outside in 25 degree weather to snowblow my driveway. I'd estimate I was outside maybe a half hour snowblowing and my hands were getting cold. I did measure my hands as suggested by LL Bean and I had ordered the correct size. Buy the next size up if you order them. I also do admit the gloves have a real nice feel to them and are well built...just not for cold weather.
