I have purchased LLBean Dog beds for years and our dogs love them. They hold up great. Just ordered the Wicked Good Pet Cuddler Square for our new dog so she is feeling extra special. She loves being able to nest down. Her weight was border line between medium and large so I ordered both. I returned the medium since it was definitely too small. The large is a perfect size. The padded sides need to be considered when measuring so you might consider moving up if your dog is borderline like ours. So far the LLBean bed is just what I expected Great Bed and Great Quality.

bedthief possession issues
Have a new little 9 pounder who was used to a snuggle type bed so I bought him the small. The bed is well made, plenty of padding for the little body and he runs straight to it when he enters the room so he can snuggle in it BUT now, as pictured, so does my 35 pounder.
I guess this means I'll need to order an additional in medium as these 2 cannot possibly both fit in the small.

The first bed I ordered was too small! I went by the measurements on the website but they are from the fattest part of the bed on the outside and so it was too small. I called customer service and was quite upset as I had been waiting for this bed to come back in stock and my elderly dog desperately needed a new bed. Customer service was great. They had a replacement bed sent to me immediately and my old girl has barely left it since it came in. She never gets in a new bed at first - they have that horrible smell but this bed did not. She walked over, smelled it and climbed in and fell asleep. She was and still is loving the comfort of the bed. I haven't tried washing it yet so I can't say anything about that.

I loved the idea of this bed because its simple but unfortunately I feel that the pillow insert (the bed itself) has "deflated." I have had to put some extra blankets on top to make it more comfortable. For the amount of money I paid I would have expected it to hold up better.

KJBATL purchased two, one for the cat and one for the dog
I purchased another of these when the cat took over my beagle's bed I had ordered him. Now they both have one. Make sure you size up, as some others have said. My 23 lb beagle needed a size large. You lose about 10 inches in length and width with the bolster, so subtract that to get the size of the actual cushion/sleeping area. Photo is the medium, which my 15 lb cat prefers. You can see how small it is. Both absolutely love the plushness of these beds and I am so glad L.L.Bean got more in stock after the holiday sale sellout.

I'm so glad these are back in stock after the holidays. I ordered a large for my 24 lb beagle, and the cat took it over. He did need the large size. So, I have now ordered a medium for the 15 lb cat. Hopefully he can do with the medium and everyone will have a spot! Both pets absolutely love it, it's very soft and cuddly. I have not had a problem with losing loft, but my pets are not heavy

wicked1 Lives up to its name
This dog bed might be too Good. Our cat had taken it over and is slowly evicting the dog. Might have to get another one, not sure how long the time sharing is going to last!

Renaissancewoman Hound-approved!
We got the XLG pet cuddler for our 72-lb. majestic treehound. It fits her perfectly with room to spare. She took to it immediately and loves resting her head on the bolsters along the sides. I agree with other reviewers that pet beds need to be completely washable. I placed an absorbent and waterproof crib sheet inside the case and above the fill to catch the occasional accident and protect the fill. I haven't washed the bed yet but it looks very durable. So far she's happy and so am I! This bed is expensive but it is very well-made and better than anything I've found in the pet stores. The fill is replaceable. I've even used old polyfill comforters as fill replacements with good success...and they're easy to wash!

I have two 90-110 lb Weimaraners who love their beds. I love, love, loved it as well...in the begining. The cover is soft and attractive and holds up well to washing. However, eventually dog smells permeate into the bed cushion which cannot be washed. I washed it on delicate and it is a mess. They still love to lay in their beds but usually pull out the cushion during the day and walk around the house with them as they now resemble blankets instead of dog beds. LL Bean is such a fantastic company but, I think not having an inexpensive bed pad replacement for this bed just diminishes the overall quality of the product.

We have a small beagle, 26lbs, 11yrs old, adopted from a shelter a year ago. For his 'coming to his forever home day' anniversary we decided to get the old sweetie a new bed. He loved it from the unpacking. Claimed it immediately and sleeps on it so much, we actually have to remind him when it's time to come up to bed !
Very good quality, very soft for his old bones, easy to wash;
Best dog bed ever and worth every penny.
