I'm very pleased with this food container and have used it practically everyday since I got it. My tea remains steaming hot from the time I leave home until I get ready to drink it at work two hours later and stays warm for a good amount of time even if the lid is off. What is even better is how long cold beverages remain cold. By accident I found out how great it works with cold drinks if refrigerated. One day I made too much smoothie so decided to pour it in the insulated container and store it in the fridge. 24 hours later the smoothie still retained its just blended texture and remained thick and icy. This is great as I can prepare my smoothie the night before and just grab and go in the morning. What's also a plus is cold drinks remain cold for a good lenght of time even with the lid off.
I have had no problems with liquids leaking and is very easy to clean.

I purchased two of the 12-oz models in fall 2012 for my sons to use for lunches at school or the occasional meal for my husband to take to work. It's now late winter 2013 and we've used these enough to make an accurate review.
The containers seem to be constructed decently and I have had no issues with leaking. They fit into the boys' LL Bean lunch boxes as long as there isn't too much else in there (a half-sandwich, small bottle of water and container of fruit are about all that will fit along with this container).
It does a decent job keeping hot food warm; my boys eat lunch about four hours after I pack it, and they say it's warm enough. My husband, who sometimes doesn't eat until five or more hours after leaving, says that it doesn't stay warm much beyond that time frame.
One thing I have done to maximize the heating time is to use boiling water from the teakettle and let the container sit (lid on) for at least five minutes before dumping and adding very hot food.
It actually seems to do a better job of keeping cold food cold; if I send my husband a protein shake for breakfast, I put the container in the freezer overnight, add the shake and pack it in an insulated bag. He says it seems to stay colder longer.
I like that this can be embossed with our last name so that if my kids misplace it at school, it can be easily returned.
In all, I've had no issues with leaks or cracks, and food seems to stay sufficiently warm or cold. It would be nice if it could keep for eight hours or more, but it's sufficient for the price. I'll be purchasing a third for our daughter to use next year.

I bought the 12 oz Stainless-Steel Vacuum Food Container to take food to work to eat 2 to 3 hours after heating. The quality of this product is very good and did not leak. However, as soon as I filled it with hot water to preheat, the outside of the container heated up and stayed hot all morning. With that much heat transfer, I wasn't surprised when the soup was just barely warm when I went to eat. The second day, I put the container in an insulated bag and the results were the same. It is just not food safe for hot items.

We've used this about two months now for my daughter's kindergarten class. It truly lasts 5 hours. I'm going to buy another one.

This product is worth the money. It keeps items cold longer than the 5 hours and hot items also. I pack my food before 5AM, and it is still the right temp at noon even as late at 1PM.

bought this for my daughter, I am buying another one since my son and my husband also take their food from home. keeps food warm and now they can take mac and cheese ,soup or rice...!!sturdy and gr8 value for my money!!

I bought this container for my 9 year old daughter to take to school to keep her lunch warm, hopefully. It worked great! She came home and said her food was still steaming when she had opened the container 6 hours after being made that morning. She loves it because it gives her more choices for lunch. Going to buy a second one for myself for work.

I like this container. It seals well so there are no leaks, and it kept my soup hot until lunch hour. I like the wide opening which would be good for spooning food straight from the container. The top also serves as a cup. Easy to clean too. I think I may buy the larger size in addition to this 12 oz., as the shape of these containers are a space saver in my lunch tote. Nice product.
