Rated 2 out of 5 by pineymom Too small
Last year I bought my 7 yr old son the Discovery lunchbox and he loved it and it was big enough to fit lunch and four thin "Icees". He wanted a new lunchbox this year and wanted a plain colored lunch box. Unfortunately , I didn't pay attention to the size, I assumed that both lunch boxes were the same. This lunchbox barely fits his lunch and chips get broken up when placed inside. Forget about putting a bottle of water or a hard-sided juice box in it with your lunch. It will work with juice box pouches. I cannot use his sandwich holder in the lunchbox unless I want to smush everything else. I am very disappointed that this lunch box is smaller. I would not recommend it to any elementary school aged child. I am considering taking it back if I can convince him to pick out one of the Discovery lunch boxes. LL Bean, please make them a little bigger!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Morning Great lunchbox for JK
I bought this lunch box to accompany the shark print backpack for my son going into JK. He loves the Hungry Shark print! I had this monogrammed to help him keep track of his stuff. The lunch box fits 2 snacks, a juice box and a sandwich or small thermos easily, with an internal pocket perfect for a small ice pack and an external pocket with zipper for cutlery, napkins, etc. Wipes clean very easily, though I have yet to put it in the washing machine. I can see this becoming too small in a few years however - my son loves snacking and I am already packing it at capacity. I don't think there are many other options out there however - seems to be a standard size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TwinBoysLandL Nice lunchbox
I bought two lunchboxes to match my 11 year old twin boys' deluxe backpacks. The royal blue was very nice but the brilliant blue was very turquoise and bold. My son said it looked like a girl's color so I am switching it for another color. The dark grey zipper on the brilliant blue shows through the brilliant blue which I did not like.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lshcat If only I could change a couple little things...
I wanted to first post that I just ordered these, and they ARE the posted dimensions... 3 3/4" not 3" as others have reviewed, I'm not sure why the discrepancy, but I have the brilliant blue one in this style. I will not comment on durability yet as we've only had them a few days but it's a great-looking, sturdy box. Here is what I don't like. The outer mesh pocket. It's so thin it's only suitable for lunch/bake sale/book fair money or notes but it's see-through mesh at the bottom. There's nowhere secret to zip any money in for the kids that wouldn't be visible to everyone. For some reason when I ordered I thought (due to the seam at the top of the mesh) I thought it was sewn there and it was an entirely covered shorter pocket on the front. The mesh seems a little fragile and it's a useless pocket as-is. Secondly, the handle is very short. I can't even get my hand through it. I can only grab it with finger tips so forget about looping it over your wrist when running out the door. It could use another couple inches or even a clip, for attaching to the backpack. Overall though for the price (bought on 10% sale too) it's very nice!

Rated 4 out of 5 by DissappointedMom Not worth personalizing!
I received the personalized lunch boxes I ordered and I am extremely disappointed that I paid for personalization that is way too small and cannot be seen well on the lunch bags due to the placement and font size. It was a waste of money!
I think if I would have seen a sample of the writing's actual size online while ordering, I would have been able to make a better decision on the font color and size. The writing is way to small to find on the front of the bag, the placement is bad and the color blends in to the bag so it cannot be seen. No one could find my sons lunch bag at school today based on his name. The bag seems like good quality but I am very disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SEB4 3" depth instead of advertised 3 3/4" depth
I love these lunch boxes - but they are too narrow for my 9 year old's Bentgo lunch box. I even measured before I ordered, but was disappointed to find that the boxes were 3/4" narrower than advertised. If this measurement had been accurate I wouldn't have had to order and return this item in the first place.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SunshineStater New shape doesn't work as well.
I purchased several of these years ago and loved them. The dimensions were perfect and they've held up well.
I recently purchased another, and found that the dimensions have changed. It's now longer and narrower. I used to be able to fit a sandwich and a 12 oz. water bottle (across the width of the box) with room left over for another small snack. Now, I cannot figure out how to fit a sandwich and a water bottle. The bottle won't fit across the width of the box, only lengthwise, which leaves a long narrow space for a sandwich. Too bad. Will be sending this back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lismoff 2 years and going strong
I purchased this when my daughter was an infant to tote her bottles around when we were out. We have clearly graduated from that, but we are constantly packing up our lunchbox with snacks and taking it with us on the go. It has held up with consistent use for the past 2 years. When we've had spills, we have washed it in the dishwasher on the top rack and it has kept up nicely. It's the perfect size for picnic lunches and we love it! I will be buying one for my next child due in a few months. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lynn78 Too narrow
This lunch box is almost there but not quite. It's about 1" too narrow and when you put an ice pack in there it takes up a lot of space. It has held up very well, it was used almost every day for a whole school year and I would love to give it 5 stars but my son was only in first grade but if a kid eats more it won't be enough space.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NorthernNHShopper Good Lunchbox up to a point
We've used this for my daughter for almost three years now, and overall it's been a good product. Now that her daycare is requiring we pack 6-8 food options every day, there just isn't much room in it (esp. with an icepack in the interior mesh pocket) without squishing her food (which she then uses as an excuse to not eat it!). We've also started to notice that mold is developing on the seams and on the inside of the outside pocket, despite careful use and cleaning. Will likely return it if the mold doesn't remove easily.
