bought these lunch bags with matching backpacks for my 4yo twin boys last summer (the blue design with the crocodiles and also monogrammed; the names were necessary b/c they always want the same of everything...).They truly love them and use them everyday. I will buy them definitely for all of the younger kids, even if they aren't that cheap, they'll at least last longer! As a work-at-home dad of 11 and with the 4yo as the oldest, believe me when I say I wouldn't have bought them if they wouldn't be easy to clean! And in my opinion, they are big enough, our's eat a sandwich, some small snacks and two small water bottles also fit into it!So great job LL Bean!!

I love this lunch box because it is more spacious then most lunch boxes. I also bought the matching backpack and the lunch box fits perfectly in the front pocket. It keeps items cold and is made of flexible materials so you can squeeze it in tight spaces or bags. My son uses it daily and loves it. His classmates love all of his llbean stuff!

This lunch box is a little on the small side for lunch in hard containers (good size for preschoolers/half-day kindergarten,) and is difficult to get crumbs out of. However, it is the perfect toiletry kit for my husband and sons. Here's why: water resistant lining for when bottles aren't closed tightly; WHITE lining so you can find things easily; just enough pockets for organization, but not so many that you can't remember where you put things, AND the pockets are mesh so you can see inside them if you forget; monogram-able; soft-sided but padded to protect things like glasses and retainers; opens wide; sits flat on a counter without taking up a lot of space.
The removable shower caddies and pockets in the real toiletry kits are nice if you like to organize, but my family of boys can't find anything in there (they're hunters, not gatherers :), and never bother to use the shower caddy, since they have at most two things with them in the shower.
The Critter lunch box is a better lunch box, but this is an awesome toiletry kit!

This is the second Lunch tote I purchased and couldn't be happier . I ordered the blue woodland critter and it is adorable. I've gotten several compliments from coworkers. As always with LLBean the quality is outstanding. My first one( navy blue) was for my husband , is a year old and still looks brand new.

I have 2 boys (8&6) and I ordered 2 lunch boxes for them. This one for the 8yo and the critter lunchbox for the 6yo. The critter lunchbox is huge compared to this one. My 8yo can not use it because he can not fit all of his lunch in it. I love LL Bean! I DO! I love the school bags and the critter lunch box is great! but this one is small. I guess if you have a picky, little lunch eater this would work but I can fit a sandwich and a drink thats about it.

I am a mother of four and purchased this for my son when he started sixth grade along with a coordinating back back. We didnt have alot of money but this was an investment. He is a senior this year and I never made another purchase -they both have held up beautifully. If you dont have much money buy the best!

This is my son's 2nd year with this lunchbox. He loves it but asks when he can get a new one (just because he wants something different). I don't answer him, because it looks like this lunchbox will easily hold up for a long time! Love the outside mesh, so he can keep school notes and his cloth napkins separate. Monograming looks nice too, but colors hard to see. That's okay, but wish it were bright orange or something. All in all, great lunchbox and my other two kids will be getting similar LLBean boxes too.

We use plastic sandwich box, 2 small round containers for sides, a thermos/flip top style for milk and an ice pack everyday. All of our standard items won't fit in this one. I should have checked the dimensions first!

I ordered this lunch box for my grandchildren and niece. They use almost daily to pack their lunch to school. It is very roomy - lunches, snacks and drinks fit well and remain cold. The material is durable and offered in many different prints. The camo and pink argyl are two of our favorites.

I like it so much that I've ordered second one ( the same color - pink argyle) just in case I'll loose it. It simple design, doesn't look big but surprisingly roomy inside: 12-16oz water bottle, two sandwiches, apple or orange and still some place for couple snacks. It hold temperature very well ( at least 6 hr) and its easy to clean. Simple, functional and durable + great pattern and color - what else you could ask for. Highly recommended.
